Job requirement

II. Monthly and Yearly Report

● Assist in compiling data and preparing monthly Council Reports for presentation to the

Board or relevant stakeholders, submit to Internal Control and Quality Manager.

● Assist in compiling data and preparing the Annual General Meeting Council Report for

presentation to the Board or relevant stakeholders, and submit to Internal Control and

Quality Manager.

III. Budget Preparation

● Assist in gathering information, analysing financial data, and preparing documents for the

yearly budget planning process for the Audit & Risk Department.

● Collaborate with the Finance Department and other relevant stakeholders to develop the

annual budget based on organisational goals and financial forecasts.

IV. General

● Provide administrative support to MTFA events, if required.

● Perform any duties as assigned by the Internal Control and Quality Manager, Deputy

Director and/or Executive Director.

● Work closely with all departments of MTFA (Including Darul Ihsan Orphanage, Ihsan Living,

Ihsan Casket, Ihan Aid, Ihsan Kidney Care and other subsidiaries).

● Travel to various MTFA branches, its subsidiaries, or other relevant locations to support

audit, quality assurance, and reporting activities as required.

V. Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, quality management, or a

related field.

● Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal auditing, quality assurance, or a related field,

preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment.

● Strong understanding of audit principles, quality management principles, and regulatory

requirements.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• For Manager at least 6 years of audit experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive experience in auditing funds, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, MAS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

We’re looking to add a Senior Internal Audit (IT) in Singapore. The position will be based in our corporate office in AMK.

As a Senior Internal Audit (IT) , you will :

Reporting to Internal Audit Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the department to foster strong corporate governance in Venture. You will be leading audit planning, execution and reporting for IT audit projects and supporting business audit projects to strengthen the IT and business processes and control environment. You will also participate in special projects including Enterprise Risk Management program and ad hoc investigations.

• Assist Internal Audit Head to define IT audit universe and draft annual IT risk-based audit plan.
• Lead IT audit planning and development of audit programs.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls (general and application controls).
• Determine compliance with Company IT policies, best practices, standards and government regulations.
• Draft concise audit reports in English for all levels of key stakeholders including senior management.
• Draft audit work papers to support audit test work and conclusions. Review audit team’s documentation to ensure quality.
• Enhance IT control processes by identifying improvement opportunities and work together with IT stakeholders to develop appropriate remediation plans.
• Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and business internal auditors.
• Participate in IT related projects including process automation, data analytics and ad hoc investigations and support business audit projects.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Degree holder in Information Technology/Computer Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in IT auditing with public accounting firm, preferably with prior audit exposure in electronics manufacturing services domain.
• Experience in performing audits for compliance with COBIT framework and ITIL practices.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more following is desirable: Information security, data privacy, software development, operating system, SAP, system migration, network and firewall audits.
• Data analytics experience is a significant advantage.
• Excellent command of written and verbal English communication skills for interaction with all levels of stakeholders including senior management. Ability to speak and read Mandarin is desirable as the incumbent will be involved in audits of subsidiaries in China.
• Willing to travel internationally to factories and offices in Malaysia, China, United States and Spain. Traveling is approximately 30% to 40%.
• Professional certification in CISM, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CFE is preferred.

Jobs Description:

This position reports to the firm’s audit manager and audit partner. The firm’s management is committed to an employee-orientated, high performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality work delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in audit planning meetings, as applicable.

- Participate in audit procedural tests with guidance from audit manager/ audit partner including walk-through test, sampling techniques, compliance test of internal controls (if applicable), substantive tests of accounts balances, analytical reviews & audit verification by physical inspection, such as physical count of year-end inventories.

- Participate in the preparation of audit working papers, completion of audit programmes.

- Drafting of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and other related reports such as engagement letters, management letters, and propose any audit adjustment.

- Prepare draft tax computations or review of estimated tax computation for audit purpose.

- Compilation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, including preparation of cash flows statements

Technical Skills and Competencies will learn:

a) Knowledge & skills in using Caseware audit software

b) Skill in performing audit tests & documentation of audit workpapers

c) Improve communication skills – oral & business writing

d) Develop quality financial statements reporting skill

e) Knowledge & application of Financial Reporting Standards

Minimum Qualification:

Degree, professional qualification equivalent to the degree or finalist in completing the professional certifcates with minimum 3 years of Singapore auditing experience in sizable firm.

• Must possess a degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification;
• Work effectively as part of a team in providing support and communicating to other team members on the work engagement progress;
• Proficient in MS Office applications; and
• Willingness to travel in the course of work engagements.

Job Description

• Assists in the planning, execution and finalization of all areas of the audit assignments of small and medium size and clients listed on Singapore Stock Exchange in various industries
• Identify and discuss accounting, auditing and or other reporting issues with manager and/or partner
• Review for completeness and adequacy, the audit working papers prepared by junior members within the engagement team
• Manage client’s expectation and provide timely updates and or feasible solutions on their queries
• Prepare recommendation letter to client to improve control and enhance business efficiency as well as any required special report

Job Requirement

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification
• Candidates with more than 4 years of proven and relevant audit experience will be considered for Senior position
• Candidates with 2 years audit experience will be considered for Semi Senior position
