We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics specialist who is keen on studying how microbes contribute to common skin diseases such as eczema and acne. Our lab is focused on leveraging new technologies to better study microbial populations and their impact on human health. We have extensive experience in metagenomic analysis in clinically or commercially important contexts such as uncovering distinct microbial communities in households affected by paediatric eczema (PMID: 35318044) and revealing the microbial basis of body odour in teenagers (PMID: 30497517). We are now focusing on applying various -omics capabilities to larger sized disease cohorts to understand how microbial pathways and biomarkers change with disease progression and treatment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment, with unique access to next-generation sequencing technologies and a wide range of samples. Job Summary

As the Safety Officer for the main contractor, you will report to the Project Manager and oversee safety protocols at the construction site. This includes conducting inspections, implementing safety measures, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with WSH regulations.
• Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
• Training and Education: Organize safety training programs, toolbox meetings, and emergency response drills.
• Incident Management: Investigate accidents and near-misses, recommend preventive measures, and prepare reports.
• Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety procedures, liaising with MOM and other regulatory bodies.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular site readiness drills.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, training sessions, incidents, and monthly safety performance reports.

Qualifications

• Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing materials delivered to site and quality of workmanship.

• Assist RE in supervision and inspecting all structural works.
• Assist CPM in site progress and update proper site records about the progress of work and documentation.

• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, method of statement, other technical submissions, material samples and trade demonstration by the contractors.
• Assist and co-ordinate with consultants to resolve any technical and interfacing issues.
