JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Plan and execute risk-based process audits and ensure timely completion of audit assignments according to the annual audit plan.

2. Assess adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, and compliance with policies and procedures.

3. Gather relevant audit evidence and document in audit working papers to support audit findings and conclusion.

4. Identify control gaps and make practicable recommendations to mitigate risks, improve the processes and strengthen the internal controls.

5. Prepare draft audit report and communicate with process owners and key stakeholders on audit findings and recommended action plan.

6. Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendation and agreed action plan.

7. Engage internal stakeholders for process improvements and control enhancements. 8. Any other duties as and when reasonably assigned by the Management

REQUIREMENTS

 Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.

 Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in internal audit and/or financial, operational, compliance audit.

 Good knowledge of internal control and risk assessment framework.

 Meticulous self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build good working relationship with all levels of stakeholders.

 Good team player with the ability to work independently and to meet timeline.

 Knowledge and experience with Audit Analytics Software will be an added advantage.

 Entry Level with keen interest to establish a career in internal auditing are welcome to apply

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Associate with a strong audit background to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, as well as supporting audits and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and best practices. The Senior Finance Associate will play a key role in improving financial processes, managing internal controls, and driving financial performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  Perform financial analysis and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
  Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  
• Audit and Compliance:Lead internal and external audit engagements, ensuring proper preparation and coordination with auditors.
  Review and manage audit work papers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with auditing standards.
  Provide support for regulatory audits and liaise with auditors to address any queries.
  Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  
• Accounting and Controls:Oversee and manage general accounting activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial transactions.
  Ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective internal control systems.
  Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and accounts.
  
• Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts.
  Analyze budget variances and collaborate with department heads to ensure financial goals are met.
  
• Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and financial performance.
  Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  
• Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
  Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance associates and auditors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus).
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management and auditors.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Review management accounts and assist in planning of the audit engagements including, but not limited to, understanding of the client’s business environment, assessment of key risks areas, determination of materiality and performance of preliminary analytical review
• Perform fieldwork for audit including, but not limited to, performance of tests of controls, substantive analytical procedures and other tests of details
• Prepare tax computations for submission to IRAS
• Check compliance with relevant laws and regulations e.g. Singapore Companies Act (Chapter 50), Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), Income Tax Act and applicable tax legislation, etc.
• Review the financial statements prepared
• by clients and modify as appropriate in compliance with the requirements of FRS
• Lead team on engagements and provide guidance to junior associates

The candidate should :

• posses a Degree in accountancy or other professional accountancy qualifications
• possess initiative to work under pressure as part of a closely-knit team
• be a team player and enjoys interacting with entrepreneurs and fellow professionals
