We are looking for Data Engineer to support our project in Singapore. This is a 2 year contract role.

The Data Engineer will support the development and maintenance of the global AI sandbox, development of cutting-edge AI solutions, R&D, and provide technical guidance and support in the data domain to the teams under incubation that develop AI Products.

The role requires a strong technical background in Data Engineering, AI, and modern Cloud infrastructure, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders across technology, AI, and business to deliver impactful AI products. The Data Engineer will work on the delivery of high-quality data infrastructure, continuous improvement, and experimentation, and development of the company’s data expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be an active member of the AI Lab, playing the role of Data Engineer to support the implementation of solutions built in AI labs:

• Build data pipelines to bring in wide variety of data from multiple sources within the organization as well as from relevant 3rd party sources.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption.
• Work with the team to provide an effective solution design to meet business needs.
• Ensure regular communication with key stakeholders, understand any key concerns in how the initiative is being delivered or any risks/issues that have either not yet been identified or are not being progressed.
• Ensure timelines (milestones, decisions, and delivery) are managed and value of initiative is achieved, without compromising quality and within budget.
• Ensure an appropriate and coordinated communications plan is in place for initiative execution and delivery, both internal and external.

Qualifications:

• Strong technical background in data, AI, and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL.
• Experience with Cloud Infra providers like Azure data bricks, Google cloud platform or AWS
• Experience in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark (Spark SQL, Dataset / Dataframe API) or Hive query language (HQL)
• Knowledge of Big data ETL processing tools
• Experience with Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC)
• Basic knowledge of scripting (shell / bash)
• Experience of working with multiple data sources including relational databases (SQL Server / Oracle / DB2 / Netezza), NoSQL / document databases, flat files
• Basic understanding of CI CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo and Azure Dev-ops.
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices using Git version control
• Ability to debug, fine tune and optimize large scale data processing jobs

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Red Hat Linux Engineer with strong cloud experience to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, with a focus on integrating cloud-based solutions. This role requires expertise in RHEL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), automation tools, and a strong understanding of network and security principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• RHEL Administration:Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
  Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Linux environment.
  
• Cloud Integration:Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  Migrate workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
  Implement hybrid cloud strategies, ensuring smooth integration between on-premise and cloud systems.
  
• Automation & Scripting:Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline operational tasks.
  Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for managing cloud resources (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  
• Security & Compliance:Ensure Linux environments are secure by implementing best practices, monitoring, and addressing vulnerabilities.
  Configure and manage firewalls, security policies, and user access in Linux and cloud environments.
  Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies for data protection and system integrity.
  
• Backup & Recovery:Design and implement disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and applications.
  Ensure regular backups are performed, validated, and ready for restoration in case of failure.
  
• Collaboration & Support:Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployment and infrastructure needs.
  Provide Tier 2/3 support for system issues and outages.
  Assist in the creation of documentation, including design specifications, procedures, and user guides.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Perl).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and other related services.
• Familiarity with security tools and protocols in a Linux and cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator, etc.).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
