• Familiar with hotel operating system especially Opera PMS, HotSOS, PABX, table management system and Micros system.

Role Overview

Markets & Securities Services provides industry-leading services to corporate and institutional clients worldwide, and is a significant part of the HSBC Global Banking & Markets division.

Account Management sits within the SSV platform, and this role has been created to further support the consistent application and on-going delivery of the “Next Generation” of client experience to SSVs’ strategically important client base across products.

This will include the utilization of data and new technology, the multiple products and services that complement the SSV offering within the Group and leveraging SSV’s extensive proprietary network - people and market influence.

To do so, the role-holder will be required to continually familiarize themselves with the services SSV offers today and the product roadmap for the future.

Additionally, the role-holder will effectively support Client Executives and Sales Directors on new and cross sale initiatives for strategic clients/prospects, as well as owning commercials and maximizing profitability and incremental growth opportunities with clients. In case of clients where there is no Client Executive assigned, actively perform the activities of the client lead.

To achieve this, the role-holder will need to forge deep relationships with key stakeholders and manage virtual client teams including from the following business partners:

Managing relationships with clients and other senior stakeholders throughout the industry will also be key to the success of the role, and will necessitate that client events are planned and attended appropriately and that client feedback and key management reporting is effectively produced and utilized.

In summary, the role-holder will ensure we attain the highest levels of satisfaction, retention and reference-ability of the SSV client base. Additionally, the role-holder will act as the core relationship touch point across SSV products for a select number of clients. Duties and Responsibilities

• Client retention: Work in tandem with Client Executives, Client Service Management, Product and Operations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and a reference-able client base
• Create and maintain detailed client plans that effectively map the organizational structure and key contact points in the assigned clients
• Proactive management of non-operational queries, issues and escalations across all products and jurisdictions
• Conduct and manage service reviews and support ongoing client due diligence of HSBC
• Management of commercial operations including implementation of fee schedules, aged debtor management, maintenance of key commercial and service level agreements
• Client relationship and internal stakeholder management
• Establish/adhere to an agreed governance framework and meeting schedules to deliver strong senior client engagement and maintain full compliance with internal controls
• Understand client operating model, partnering with internal teams to manage client change requests and driving operating model improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Securities Services, client management, business implementation/change, business development and/or senior operational leadership experience
• Client facing with excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to lead and manage meetings
• Track record in maintaining and retaining client relationships across securities services products with an ability to help execute departmental strategy
• Understanding of core commercial and contractual drivers and business performance

• Serve as the point of escalation for the Duty Terminal Managers and other teams your assigned terminal(s) (must be contactable via the company-issued mobile phone 24x7)
• Manage airline accounts in the assigned terminal(s) — engage airline Station Managers and their representatives regularly and ensure that issues raised are addressed promptly
• Serve as the point of contact for airlines in the assigned terminal(s)
• Co-ordinate and attend regular/ad-hoc meetings of airlines in the assigned terminal(s), take meeting minutes and ensure prompt follow-up of all action items
• Work with CAAS and CAG where necessary pertaining to issues involving the airlines in your assigned terminal(s)
• Serve as the point of contact for Ramp & Baggage Services for all airline audits of assigned airlines, and be responsible for audit preparation and readiness
• Be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of airline system trials, terminal moves, system cutovers for airlines in your assigned terminal(s)
• Monitor the daily shift reports(including on weekends)sent by the Duty Terminal Managers under your charge and take ownership to resolve follow-up items
• Ensure that Duty Terminal Managers report all relevant incidents in dHub where necessary and keep Head of Ramp & Baggage Services informed
• Work with Resource Planning and Human Resources to ensure sufficient staffing levels at your assigned terminal(s) to deliver on Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Be responsible for planning and ensuring that all staff in your designated terminal(s) are current in all mandatory certifications required to perform their jobs.
• Be responsible for the development, appraisal and discipline of the teams within your designated terminal(s)
• Provide absence coverage for other Terminal Managers
• Any other dutiesassigned by the Head of Ramp & Baggage Services

Requirements

• Possess a degree or higher from a recognised institution, or demonstrable experience in lieu of a degree
• At least 5 years of experience managing operations at an airline or ground handling company
• While this role has regular hours, candidates must be able to perform shift duties where required to supervise operations in the assigned terminal(s)
• Willing to hold the company-issued mobile phone and respond to escalations on a 24x7 basis
• Willing to monitor the shift reports from Duty Terminal Managers 7 days a week
• Well-versed in the full spectrum of customer service operations (i.e. check-in, departure and arrival handling, excess baggage & ticketing, arrival services (lost & found), and lounges)
• Able to lead and motivate large teams to deliver operational excellence
• Must be comfortable working in a high-stress operational environment and be able to make sound decisions in crises
• Candidates with a proven track record in a similar role may be considered for the Senior Terminal Manager role
