Job Summary

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring a high standard of service, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing staff, coordinating events,

handling customer inquiries, and maintaining the venue’s overall atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

-Managing inventory

-Opening and closing the club Ordering supplies

-Promoting club and hiring or encouraging others to promote club.

-Ensuring operations run according to safety and sanitation standards and laws

-Implement strategies for improved work performance

-Nightclub managers may also be in charge of developing revenue opportunities for the club, such as recruiting talent or running promotions. Nightclub managers often work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The environment is usually loud and fast-paced.

This role reports to the HR Director and will be a strategic and hands on role focused on our Compensation & Benefits strategy. You will be an individual contributor and will work closely with the Global Rewards, the Singapore HR team and key business stakeholders to implement and support a competitive and relevant reward strategy to ensure it stays competitive in attracting and retaining talent.

Main Responsibilities:

Compensation & Benefits (C&B)

• Develop, renew and implement the compensation & benefits programs, policies and guidelines in Singapore
• Lead and manage annual C&B campaigns, e.g. salary benchmarking / review, bonus, incentives, retention schemes, etc.
• Serve as a subject matter expert by providing expert level compensation and benefit consulting support to HR team and business leaders
• Lead in the development, implementation and administration of short- and long-term incentives programs in Singapore
• Lead participation in market surveys and performance of market analysis to develop and recommend changes to programs, guidelines or practices
• Lead in the development, implementation and deployment of all local wellbeing initiatives in Singapore.

HR Operations

• Lead the employee movement update in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and the Employee Services team to ensure smooth monthly payroll process.
• Collaborate with the Employee Services team to manage the local and expat employee tax matters ensuring compliance with local regulations including corresponding with the IRAS on related matters.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements relating to CPF and tax by keeping abreast on the updates of relevant government bodies and legislations such as Central Provision Fund (CPF), Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) etc.

Full and Final Settlements

• Provide input on the final payment administration for all leaving employees including items related to final payment i.e. leave encashment, intermediate STI, withholding for tax, tax clearance, processing payment for tax liability to the IRAS and intermediate STI pay out for transfer cases.

Policies Management & Implementation

• Owner of all local HR Policies and ensure alignment with local regulations (MOM, CPF, IRAS) in collaboration with local legal counsel where applicable.
• Review, update and design benefits policies and plans, ensuring that it is competitive and on top of market trends while maintaining internal equity and compliance
• Accountable for local deployment of global policies
• Partner with benefits broker to review group insurance program annually to ensure programs are crafted to be competitive with market practice and enable Danone to attract, reward, retain and engage our employees
• Manage ongoing relationship with benefits broker and have regular contact to cover ongoing issues, requests and feedback

Annual Salary and Bonus Cycle

• Drive and manage the annual salary review campaign, salary planning and bonus payout and bonus setting in Singapore
• Ensure relevant communications to stakeholders with regards to changes in policies and guidelines
• Responsible for the submission of Remuneration Survey data to Mercer
• Responsible for the preparation of Singapore Reward Frame analysis (external market references, internal equity analysis, proposal of medians and building of merit matrix)
• Work with International Mobility team to validate Annual Salary Review for expats

Reporting and Budgeting

• In-charge of quarterly rolling forecast of people cost budget
• Work with department controllers and corporate finance to answer any queries or investigate discrepancies

HR Admin

• Review of employee letters including but not limited to contracts, promotion letters, salary increment and bonus letters.
• Preparation of employment contract for Director’s level and above.
• Submission of MOM related surveys
• E-leave portal Administrator

• Source, review, and compare quotations, keep track of tender expenses.
• Find new sub-contractor, liaise with various related parties including customer, consultants, sub-contractor on specification to ensure requirements were met.
• Tabulate tender costing and review it with management.
• Review and compare documents and contracts.

This role requires a deep understanding of maritime operations, technical knowledge, regulatory compliance, and effective leadership. Here are the typical duties and responsibilities associated with this position

Functions and responsibilities

1. Fleet Operations Management:

(A) Develop and implement strategies to optimize the operation and performance of the global fleet, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.

(B) Oversee vessel scheduling, routing, and voyage planning to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and meet customer requirements.

2. Technical Maintenance and Repairs:

(A) Coordinate and supervise technical maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities for the assigned fleet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.

(B) Manage planned maintenance systems and work closely with technical teams to address vessel technical issues promptly.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

(A) Ensure the fleet's compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, international conventions, and industry standards to maintain a high level of safety and avoid penalties.

(B) Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments within the fleet.

4. Cost Management and Budgeting:

(A) Develop and manage budgets for the fleet operations, including fuel costs, maintenance, repairs, insurance, and other operational expenses.

(B) Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.

5. Safety and Security:

(A) Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols across the fleet.

(B) Implement safety training programs and regularly conduct safety audits to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.

6. Communication and Coordination:

(A) Foster effective communication and coordination among vessel crews, technical teams, shore-based staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.

(B) Conduct regular meetings to align goals, share best practices, and address challenges within the fleet.

7. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

(A) Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the fleet's operational performance, efficiency, and safety standards for team leaders on board and ashore.

8. Vessel Acquisitions and Dispositions:

(A) Collaborate with the sales and purchase team to assess and make recommendations for vessel acquisitions, sales, or disposals based on market conditions, operational requirements, and cost-benefit analyses.

(B) Participate in negotiations and decision-making processes related to fleet expansions or reductions.

(C) Follow Management of Change process on vessel acquisition and disposal.

9. Environmental Compliance and Sustainability:

(A) Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry sustainability initiatives, promoting responsible and environmentally friendly operational practices.

(B) Implement strategies to improve the fleet's environmental performance and reduce its carbon footprint.

10. Stakeholder Engagement:

(A) Engage with customers, charterers, vessel the company, and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and understand their requirements and expectations.

(B) Address concerns and feedback to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.

The Fleet Manager's role is critical in efficiently managing the company's fleet, maintaining compliance with regulations, ensuring safety and environmental responsibility, and optimizing overall fleet performance and profitability.

Education and Qualifications

The applicant should possess the following qualifications

1) A degree in marine engineering or equivalent studies, and

2) A CoC Class 1 (Marine Engineer Officer), and

3) Have on-shore experience of at least 7 years in a similar or related position
