• Overall Responsibility for all construction activities with respect to performance, procedure, and making recommendations to project managers for improvements and corrective actions.
• Manage Contractors with a focus on quality, compliance with engineering drawings, applicable code and standards, and construction schedule and cost.
• Interface and Coordinate with Engineering supporting construction activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate construction policies that support project construction.
• Oversee the effective management of project activities to assure timely delivery and low wastage.
• Manage and lead a group of engineers.
• Co-ordination with other departments on issues affecting project works.
• Liaise with government/Statutory Authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers etc.
• Provide Timely Project Progress reporting to management and Attending Project Execution Meetings with other managers

Job Description & Requirements

• Oversee all aspects of car rental operations, including customer service, vehicle maintenance, and financial performance.

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly resolving customer complaints and addressing their needs.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced, including scheduling regular inspections and repairs.
• Track financial performance and prepare regular reports on rental revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve efficiency, and implement appropriate strategies.
• Proven experience as a Car Rental General Manager or in a similar leadership role in the transportation industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to car rental operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial and management reports
• Analyse and review financial reporting
• Perform cash flow forecasting as well as budgeting and forecasting
• Handle corporate tax filings and GST tax matters
• Formulate and implement processes to improve internal controls
• Liaise and coordinate with external corporate secretary, bankers, auditors and tax agents
• Provide expertise in any ad-hoc corporate projects

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

• Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA)
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience with strong leadership capability
• Preferable to have consolidation and group annual report drafting experience
• Sound knowledge of Singapore's IFRS, Corporation law, Taxation law and relevant statutory requirement
• Consolidation and group annual report drafting experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relate to people at all levels
• Proactive, meticulous, and able to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Design & Specifications Management

• Responsible for the design submission, shop drawings, standard details and calculations etc.
• Lead and conduct front end engineering and design works including conceptual and feasibility studies.
• Reviewing of design, specifications & drawings in the construction projects to drive cost savings through improvements in construction methods, sequence and/or material used, and to resolve technical issues at the upstream flow during the design and planning stage before the projects were executed.
• Attend technical/design clarification and project meetings with the vendors and the subcontractors with regards to the combine services drawings to ensure no conflict.
• Develop and manage the design approval process with subcontractors, consultants and clients in a timely manner.
• To report on the design submission to client and undertaking DAR submission.

Budget & Schedule Management

• Establish and track the development of design deliverables against procurement schedule and budget, ensuring on-time completion, and coordinating all.
• Identify and highlight any potential design risks or issues that will impact Project Performance.

Requirements:

• Possess Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant
• Minimum 5 years of working experience.
• A team player with a strong analytical mind and ability to work independently.
