Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading a team in the management of warehouse operations to achieve the operations key performance index and the required service standards. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in the Building Materials trade as well as strong organisational and communication skills to deliver on our projects.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Overseeing projects from beginning to end
• Managing the budget and estimate costs
• Handling all preliminaries such as site inspection, measurements, and all other necessary prelim groundwork, sample submission, technical drawings and calculations.
• Sourcing for suppliers and materials to get the best quotes for purpose of submission and cost control
• Recording all correspondence/paperwork properly and thoroughly for all projects under your charge.
• Preparing documents and materials including samples for submission and presentation to and approval by client
• Liaise closely with internal Sales, Design, Contract and Production and Installation departments to deliver all tasks stated
• Upon confirmation of project, to liaise and co-ordinate with relevant parties including owners, architects, suppliers, designers, engineers, main and sub-contractors, our own site and factory personnel for work progress and timely deliveries.
• Resolve any problems that may arise
• Be available at all times for urgent calls and attendance required at site.
• Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor

Technical Skills

• Diploma in any Engineering discipline, Construction Management, related discipline in QS or certification in project management
• At least 20 years of relevant experience in Building Materials/Construction Industry
• Use of all relevant Microsoft software
• Able to read technical drawings and oversee production of drawings

Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced dynamic individual to join us as our Hotel Manager for the Resort. Joining as part of Mandai Rainforest Resorts by Banyan Tree’s pre-opening team, the incumbent will be a strategic leader with passion for excellence in guest service with strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in establishments of the same standing, and an uncompromising commitment to maintaining standards and exceeding guests’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

• Oversee our Resort’s operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services.
• Provide guidance and assistance to all departments, helping them to meet their objectives and the Resort’s standards.
• Ensure that all departments work closely to deliver a seamless luxury experience.

Guest Experience & Retention:

• Lead and manage the delivery of exceptional guest service.
• Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively, maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Foster strong and good relationships with VIP guests, corporate clients, and travel partners.
• Implement programs to enhance guest loyalty and encourage repeat business.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff, including department heads and front-line employees.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the Resort’s budget, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue management.
• Monitor financial performance, implement cost-saving measures, and drive profitability.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain and enforce the hotel's quality standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Resort’s standards and industry regulations.

Marketing and Sales:

• Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop and execute strategies to attract and retain guests.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for growth.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the hotel's reputation, increase market share, and achieve business goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Implement and oversee emergency response procedures and staff training programs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hotel management, Pre-Opening experience will be advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of managing a hotel or resort.
• Must be able to handle difficult situations with tact and high diplomacy
• Strong proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent knowledge of luxury hospitality trends, standards and practices.

• Preferably experienced with HDB Projects, having completed at least one project

writing and verbal formats.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Overall Site Project Coordinator, you will lead a team responsible for the day-to-day

operations of the project, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements and standards.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Project Management & Supervision:

• Oversee and review contractors’ submissions, ensuring compliance with the latest

requirements and timely approval from relevant authorities.

• Supervise and manage contract administration, implementing a comprehensive quality

assurance program to meet contractual quality standards.

• Ensure project cost control and monitoring, maintaining budget compliance.

Quality Assurance & Inspection:

• Manage and maintain projects upon completion, conducting inspections and ensuring

proper handover to relevant authorities.

• Evaluate contractors’ work programs, review major milestones, and recommend

necessary adjustments.

• Establish and implement quality management systems and safety and risk

management plans.

Coordination & Communication:

• Coordinate with site project coordinators and supervisors to ensure compliance with

specifications and approved work methods.

• Manage the contractor’s construction activities, monitor submissions, and clearances

from relevant authorities.

• Conduct quality inspections and initiate preventive or corrective actions as needed.

Problem Solving & Liaison:

• Identify and solve site problems, coordinating with contractors and HDB to resolve

issues promptly.

• Conduct joint verification of contractor’s progress payments and coordinate all

services for timely delivery.

• Respond to emergency matters and liaise with public and relevant authorities for

feedback or claim matters.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Ensure timely submission of reports, processing of progress claims, and handling

claims for extension of time.

• Monitor project’s master program and costs, informing HDB of potential overruns and

recommending mitigation measures.
