• Perform daily bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Month-End and Year-End Closures:

• Assist in the preparation and closing of monthly and yearly financial statements.
• Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Ensure proper documentation of financial records for auditing purposes.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Generate customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and manage credit control.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare payment schedules.

Taxation & Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., GST, VAT, corporate taxes) in compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax reviews.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist management in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Process Improvement:

• Review and improve existing accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure financial compliance and support.
• Provide financial insights and advice to support decision-making.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and practices.
