The main responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to):

Client and relationship:

· Act as a point of contact for the clients on their day to day affairs, with supervision where necessary, and ensure that all communication, whether written or spoken in a professional manner;

· Maintain good relationship with clients;

· Respond to and deal with client queries in a professional and timely manner

· Ensure that the manager is kept up to date with any issues arising from the client or itsactivities

Service provision:

· Prepare financial data for entry into the accounting system

· Ensure all receipts are updated in the accounting system on timely basis

· Handle the banking of cheques into bank accounts on timely basis

· Handle accounts receivables and accounts payables

· Prepare bank reconciliation and audit schedules

· Prepare monthly payslips for payroll purpose

· Handle account closing up to the monthly trial balance, income statement and balance sheet

· Handle quarterly Goods and Services Tax filing

· Handle corporate secretarial documents and annual return filing

· Compilation of accounts or reports (preparation of unaudited report)

· Liaising with external auditor

· Handle corporate tax computation and tax return filing

· Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

· Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance;

Responsibilities:

• Handle administrative duties (checking of paperwork, filing, etc)
• Replying to emails to clients and relevant departments
• Ensure timely premium payments by clients
• Process claims and provide updates to clients on claim status
• Prepare necessary paperwork for new business opportunities
• Generate proposals and quotations tailored to client needs
• Prepare forms for clients
• Act as a liaison between clients and back-end staff
• Basic compliance duties
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Proficient in English and Mandarin to speak with Mandarin speaking clients
• Meticulous, takes initiative and has good communication skills.
• IT savvy (Microsoft Excel, Words, Power Point)
• Preferably at least 1-2 years of insurance admin experience
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
• Reliability and dependability in fulfilling tasks
• Resourcefulness in addressing challenges

Job Description:

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations including data entry, invoicing and payment processing, fixed assets.
• Accounts receivable
• Generate monthly billing to customers from accounting system
• Address billing discrepancies and disputes, generates credit notes and rebilling
• Proactively follow up on outstanding bills to ensure timely collection
• Accounts payable
• Check supplier invoices to supporting documents.
• Prepare and process expense reimbursements.
• Initiate regular payment runs in accounting system and bank portal.
• Maintain and update customer and supplier database in accounting system.
• Support general ledger maintenance.
• Coordinate and liase with internal parties to support inter-company activities.
• Assist preparation of financial reports.
• Assist preparation of balance sheet schedules.
• Assist preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Assist preparation of GST reports.
• Support finance department with external/internal audits as required.
• Support finance department in ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks.

Skills:

• Technically proficient with MS Office (especially Excel) and have working knowledge of Xero accounting software (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accurancy.
• Good organisation and time managment skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
