JOB SUMMARY

• We are seeking an experienced and strategic product management leader to drive the growth and innovation of our FI Clearing product suite globally. The role will sit at group with active involvement across USD, EUR, GBP, RMB as well as a large number of other locations with FI clearing solutions.
• This role encompasses core product management responsibilities, commercialisation strategies, leveraging data for insights, standardisation efforts, and the enhancement of our Asian Clearing proposition. The role initially involves leading a small team with extensive collaboration with group-level and in-country product managers.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cross-border payments, correspondent banking needs, payment clearing systems and bank/on-behalf-of payment flows and solutions. You will have a strategic and solution-orientated mindset, being client-led, risk aware. You will also have a proven track record of leading product managers, delivering innovative FI relevant capabilities and driving commercial success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

• Position SCB’s capabilities and reputation within the FI clearing business.
• Lead the end-to-end management and lifecycle of FI clearing products, with a specific focus on Banks and Affiliates. This will include enhancements of existing capabilities and new initiatives.
• Define and execute the product roadmap in alignment with the global payment strategy, FI clearing growth agenda and evolving client needs. Prioritise based on commercial opportunity, market intelligence, client feedback and competitive analysis.
• Drive revenue growth by developing robust commercialisation strategies, including product performance tracking, pricing models, value propositions, standardisation opportunities and go-to-market plans.
• Lead initiatives to modernise the FI clearing product suite, leveraging emerging technologies (e.g. API, ISO20022, real-time cross border) to improve functionality, commercial advantage and efficiency.
• Partner closely with other TB Product Teams, to include Transactional FX, Liquidity & Trade Lending teams to drive cross-sell and further revenue opportunities.
• Spearhead the enhancement of SCB’s Asian clearing proposition, ensuring competitive positioning, local nuances and regulatory compliance.
• Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes to ensure the product suite remains innovative and relevant.
• Determine and assess partnership requirements for FI Clearing to evolve the product offering.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across the bank to secure buy-in for product initiatives and drive alignment with strategic goals.

Business

• Drive the P&L for the FI clearing product, focussed on revenue growth, NFI, balances and overall profitability.
• Contribute to the development of the overall product strategy, product roadmap, and business plan
• Act as a subject matter expert in correspondent banking / FI Clearing, engaging with Sales, Coverage and clients to understand needs and pain points.
• Analyse product performance using data-driven insights, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
• Determine opportunities for standardisation to drive fee optimisation, claim recovery rates and/or processes that impact the end-to-end clearing offering.
• Partner with regional and in-country teams, and drive a holistic FI Clearing product plan across all booking locations.
• Work closely with other Product Owners, Product Developers, Solution Delivery, Marketing, Sales, Coverage, Operations, Digital Channels, Platforms and Engineering teams to define and develop detailed product/business requirements.
• Constantly monitor the business environment as well as analyse competitor’s offerings in the market and recommend appropriate strategies to respond to market opportunities and/or threats.
• Run a robust operating plan outlining product release timelines and implementation with coordination of all the activities required to bring the product to the client/market.
• Collaborate with key location product managers to ensure product readiness before pilot / launch, including commercialization tool kits, product packs and training.
• Provide business solutions for complex deals or RFPs to drive sales and solutions.
• Establish and attend meetings with Swift, across various initiatives.
• Represent SCB at client events, industry conferences and working groups.

What will you be doing?

Argus’ core business is focused on developing, and promoting the usage of, Argus commodity prices indices. The primary function of Vice President, Business Development, Metals, Asia will be to support and drive price assessment and benchmark opportunities for the metals sector, which the company has identified as a significant new opportunity. This is a senior business development and high visibility role reporting into the SVP, Strategy & Business Development with a dotted line to the Global SVP and Head of Metals.

The role has responsibility for relationship building with influential stakeholders in key commodity markets.

Key Responsibilities

· Pitches, proposals and capability statements: Collaborate with partners and the M&BD team to manage all aspects of the proposal process, supporting the business requirements of the Southeast Asia offices. This includes drafting the content, conducting briefing meetings, and facilitating post-pitch debrief sessions, etc.

· Experience Capture and Information Maintenance: Work closely with lawyers and M&BD team members to draft and update matter experience and add it to the firm's Experience Database.

· Event/Webinar Plan and Management: Plan, organise and manage a broad range of events/webinars such as roundtables, client seminars, conferences, social receptions, ensuring they meet strategic objectives.

· External Communications and Profile Raising: Work closely with lawyers, M&BD team and comms team, to produce client-facing communications, including deal press release, client alerts, etc. Leverage digital platforms such as LinkedIn, X, to enhance client engagement and the firm’s external profile in particular in Southeast Asia region.

· M&BD Initiatives: Support and implement regional and local M&BD initiatives,

· Administration support: Provide general administrative assistance to regional M&BD team and partners to ensure smooth operations.

Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Principal Officer, this role is primarily responsible for the oversight of the financial reporting for St. James’s Place International plc (Singapore Branch) (“SJPISB”). The role holder is also responsible for providing business support for SJPISB.

Key Responsibilities of the Job

• Ensure that all financial reporting for SJPISB is in accordance with all relevant reporting standards/requirements and consistent with the relevant accounting policies and standards.
• Ensure that the Key Finance Controls of SJPISB are appropriate including the processing of payments and transfers within the Branch's delegated authorities framework.
• Responsible for review and oversight of quarterly and annual regulatory and tax-related returns including ensuring appropriate sign off and governance.
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly Management Information reports for distribution to SJPISB management and relevant Committees.
• Ensure that all other monthly, quarterly, and annual timetable actions are completed, and the SJPISB's Finance Monthly Task Calendar is signed off accordingly.
• Be the local liaison for the auditors to allow them to complete their annual audit in a time efficient manner.
• Ensure all relevant mandates, controls and documentation are updated and in line with MAS requirements.
• Provide local oversight of service relationships with external banking providers, corporate secretarial, tax and other advisers.
• Support SJPISB in its oversight of its third party providers including the administration centres, asset custodian, actuary and payroll providers.
• Responsible for the production of the outsourcing oversight Management Information reports.
• Support SJPISB and the Asia & Middle East Finance Division in related processes as requested by the Principal Officer.

Requirements of the Job:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience
• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, etc.) with knowledge of Singapore FRS and accounting fundamentals
• Sound working knowledge of insurance accounting and RBC 2 reporting will be advantageous
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and liaise with other stakeholders to find the best solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
