ABOUT THE ROLE

To share this passion with us, we need a dynamic, passionate and chicken-loving Market Planning Lead to support our development initiatives for Asia. You will play a critical part in advancing development capability by identifying the right locations for new restaurants through close collaboration with Business Units (BMU) Development teams. You will be responsible for supporting growth across specific markets by cascading and sharing market planning best practices. It will involve overseeing a wide range of market-specific tactical projects spanning the Market Planning and Site Selection phases of Development.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
As a business partner to our Franchisees, you will be a key collaborator in driving high level strategic and tactical alignment. You will also build Franchisee capability across market planning, site selection, and other Development tools and processes.
You will be based in Singapore and travel may be required to supported markets depending on initiatives.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE… with your role’s responsibilities
Major job functions include:
Market Planning & Site Selection (100%)
- Develop, implement, and maintain prioritized market plans to enable and accelerate the KFC Growth & Development Strategy, including benchmarking and competitive analysis.
- Create tools and guidance for market planning, mapping, and trade area prioritization/penetration.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for division mapping/GIS and development systems support.
- Build relationships and collaborate with Development Leaders to effectively communicate and influence development commitments aligned with market plans, supporting ongoing development results.
- Develop robust post-audit tools to report on and guide future decisions for new unit and reinvestment decisions, including competitive performance analysis and development-related factors (site quality, trade area grade, etc.).
- Cascade tools and analytics to monitor, assess, and extract insights on growth strategies, market plans, demographics, portfolio segmentation, and penetration potential.
- Influence KFC Development teams with market planning/mapping processes, including Site Approval Committee Meetings.
BRING YOUR BEST SELF… with your top-notch qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree in Business, Geology or similar
- 5+ years of experience in mapping, data management, analysis, and GIS required.
- Experience in the multi-unit restaurant, retail, or franchise industry strongly preferred.
- Clear influencing, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments and work with all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work with international and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to efficiently manage workloads and adjust priorities effectively.
- Capable of working semi-independently and multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in GIS-related software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
