Castlery is looking for a Senior Specialist, Demand Planning to join our newly created Demand Planning team.
The Senior Specialist, Demand Planning sits within the wider merchandising department and is responsible for forecasting and analyzing sales productivity for Castlery’s assortment, as well as implementing initiatives that improve inventory optimization and drive business growth.
They will work closely with customer-facing teams to gain deep understanding of our sales strategy, and partner with supply chain teams to ensure that inventory levels can efficiently support and achieve sales targets. As the overall business continues to grow, this role is an essential decision-maker in creating a streamlined flow between sales and inventory across all our markets.
What you’ll be doing
- Monthly management of SKU level demand forecast for active assortment and future launches. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to understand ongoing promotion and campaign strategies that would impact forecast.
- Quarterly review and analysis of category’s assortment performance, identify areas of opportunity and action plans to achieve sales targets and improve profitability.
- Partner with the Supply Chain Orchestration team to continuously improve forecasting logic and accuracy.
- Partner with Supply Planning and Buying teams to influence inventory flow management and ensure appropriate in-stock availability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth business workflows as we continuously strengthen our supply network, improve product assortment and iterate upon planning processes.
- Contribute to the creation of quarterly product development strategy and drive bottom-up forecast processes to align with top-down goals.
What you’ll need
- At least 5 years of demand planning experience; Furniture industry knowledge is a plus.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to understand and apply retail metrics around sales and inventory.
- Experience and knowledge in various sales and marketing principles.
- Experience in making data-driven decisions.
- Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
