Role Purpose

The Executive Planning Specialist supports the CEO and the Strategy & Planning Manager to maintain a high-level of corporate governance and strategic alignment for the company. Singapore Management University, School of Social Sciences

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) at Singapore Management University (SMU) invites applications for a Lecturer position in Political Science. This position will be for a fixed term of two years, to begin in July 2025.

We seek an early-career scholar with a doctoral degree in political science, history, public administration, or a closely related field. Candidates should have a strong record of research on topics such as colonial administration, bureaucratic governance, state formation, and the intersection of political and institutional development in Southeast Asia or comparable contexts.

The candidate is normally expected to teach eight course sections per academic year. This will include contributing to SMU’s interdisciplinary Big Questions module, which engages students in addressing critical issues from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective, as well as developing and teaching a new module on American Politics.

The candidate will also be encouraged to develop an independent research agenda. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in historical methods, textual analysis (e.g., text reuse approaches), or social network analysis, as well as those with experience in archival research and qualitative process tracing. Knowledge of land governance, imperial administration, or the evolution of legal frameworks in colonial contexts would be a significant advantage.

Management Consultant Manager – Risk & Compliance

What will you do?

Digital Risk and Compliance (DRC) / Risk, Regulation & Compliance (RR&C) professionals transform the risk and compliance management function from a series of isolated transactions to one of strategic scope and importance, encompassing all aspects of the entity, including investment, financing and operating decisions.

Engagement Management

· Manage project work or selected work streams in DRC/RR&C service line

· Supervise a project team in all components of strategy and governance, process excellence and integration, regulatory reform, performance insights and execution

· Assist clients throughout the full lifecycle of project implementation, integration business process redesign, communication and training, etc

· Work with client's business units, including Compliance, Risk Management, IT, Internal Audit, Legal, Strategic Planning, Analytics and Finance to gain thorough understanding of the corporate risk processes and procedures development

· Identify, define and document complex business specifications for risk platforms and procedures

Job Qualifications

· Experience within a consulting and banking firm.

· Min of 7 years of relevant work experience in any of the areas below:

o Enterprise risk management with deep understanding of risk governance, operating model, risk identification and assessment processes

o Risk data analytics and reporting

o Implementation of IRM/GRC tools

o Control design, testing, optimization and automation

o Operational resilience and business continuity

o Third party risk management

o Technology risk framework design, implementation and risk assessment

o Data quality and governance

· Proven track record in project delivery and change management

· Excellent communications skills, and proficiency in MS suite, particularly Powerpoint.

As a Consultant in the Capital Markets Consulting practice with a focus on Client Lifecycle Management, you will be:

· Delivering valuable insights and designing and implementing business change at the intersection of client and front office experience, AML/KYC risk control framework, process efficiency, and organizational considerations.

· Using design led thinking to enhance client front office and customer experience

· Defining client organizational priorities including those that could benefit from a liquid workforce

· Optimizing client processes using data-driven approaches

Job Requirement

· Familiarity local AML/CTF regulations in Singapore/Hong Kong would be preferred.

· Familiarity with business processes, common industry challenges and innovation in the space of client lifecycle management would be preferred.

· An ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.

· The ability to develop creative and breakthrough solutions.

· Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational skills.

· Experience working through organizational change, with a demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity and innovation, including evidence of solution design.
