Tendering

Monitoring the availability of prospective projects or consultancy contracts on the Singapore government and other websites (mainly GeBIZ, Ariba, Sesami)
Preparation of tenders for final submission (as per the given closing dates/deadlines).
Studying and analyzing the tender documents in detail to assess the firm’s suitability and whether we meet the tender requirements.
Identifying suitably qualified consultants (upon advice from the Managing Director and Director) for joint-participation (for multi-disciplinary projects) and sending out invitations to participate with full instructions for their submission.
Collating documents from consultants and ensuring their completeness and full compliance with the tender requirements.

• Holds a tertiary education with a recognized degree qualification.

Candidate requires experience with sales of shipper owned container (SOC) and carrier owned container services.

Roles:

• Source new client leads and develop referrals.
• Fully manage clients accounts, ensuring all client requirements across trade lanes are met with consistent follow-up.
• Engage actively in the sales process, including proposals, quotations, Bunker Adjustment Factor notices, rate negotiations, and closing spot ad hoc rates.
• Ensure Dead Freight contracts are executed smoothly, with proactive communication for DF arrangements.
• Achieve sales targets for various trade/service lanes and oversee agency performance.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and strong relationships through regular calls, meetings, and prompt resolution of complaints with corrective actions.
• Identify client needs, opportunities, and key purchasing factors to offer customized solutions.
• Respond to daily queries on products and services.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and share key information.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product developments by maintaining regular contact with agents and clients to recommend appropriate actions.
• Contribute to the development of marketing strategies.
• Maintain an up-to-date customer database with a record of sales activities.
