The Project Director is responsible for overseeing large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, managing resources, liaising with stakeholders, and leading project teams to drive complex projects to successful outcomes. The Project Director also plays a critical role in mitigating risks and identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
You'll break new ground by:
- Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; create detailed plans covering budgets, schedules, and risk management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and managing expectations.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, review forecasts, and ensure financial efficiency within approved limits.
- Quality and Compliance: Implement quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and client requirements.
- Risk Management: Manage opportunities or variation works, and identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to avoid delays or budget impacts.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor project performance against KPIs and provide detailed reports and post-project evaluations for continuous improvement.
You excel in the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale, complex projects valued between $8M and $15M, with specialized expertise in BMS, Security, CCTV, Fire, and ELV systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana) and financial forecasting tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse project teams, inspire productivity, and foster teamwork.
- Analytical Skills: Strong financial acumen and the ability to conduct budget analysis and financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client and stakeholder engagement.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, develop solutions, and make decisions under pressure.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols.
