We are looking for a Manager to drive the next phase for our Innovation team, through the Open Innovation Platform (OIP). Our mission is to inspire and support corporates to innovate digitally. The OIP is the national digital platform matching corporates to innovative solution providers. This is a business development and pre-sales role which is focused on corporate engagement through multiple modalities e.g. inbound and outbound leads generation and qualification, curated programming, triaging their innovation needs and funnelling them to the OIP programme to support their corporate innovation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development. Generate, qualify and cultivate corporate leads, and convert corporates looking to drive business innovation within their organisations. This includes sourcing leads through working with partners to curate exclusive events or programmes targeted at innovators and decision makers.
• Business Engagement. Qualify inbound leads including referrals by acting as initial point of triage for corporates with interest in OIP to diagnose their basic innovation needs. Regular engagement with warm leads, keeping abreast of industry trends and customer drivers as opportunities for follow-ups to enable conversion.
• Stakeholder Management and Matching. Scout, own and deepen relationships with new corporates and multipliers (e.g. government agencies, trade associations) to build the corporate database. Support direct matches with our technology solvers base, based on corporates’ business use cases, as a lever to deepen the corporate relationship.
• Partnership Development: Identify, source and engage existing or new strategic partners through lead follow-up to achieve Innovation team’s objectives (e.g. securing more corporate leads for OIP and/or developing partner-led tech showcases to inspire corporates)

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Business/Information Technology/Engineering or relevant/related disciplines
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an industry engagement, B2B business development or consultancy role, with immediate and large business networks
• Adept at engaging external stakeholders across seniority levels, and building business networks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Highly adaptable and can work well across internal units and cross-cutting issues and processes
• Results-oriented to follow through with programmes and assignments in a timely manner
• Experience in corporate innovation or digital transformation, cultivating and sustaining business partnerships, and running curated and targeted programmes for corporates
• Good understanding and appreciation of new technology trends, and how it can drive new areas of growth and business use cases across industries in the digital space

Role and responsibilities

· Establish overall success of a project, or a portfolio of projects, by ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, meet business requirements and comply with governance framework, including security and resiliency.

· In charge of managing and monitoring project plan, project milestones, risk and change management to ensure delivery of the project on schedule, within scope and budget.

· Responsible in planning and managing the scope of the project, its objectives, and desired outcomes, and ensure alignment of project to the business outcomes of the Authority.

· Execute the development of the overall project schedule & activities based on the appropriate methodology including identifying dependency, critical path, milestones, and deliverables.

· Construct comprehensive work plan and ensure all team members are on-board with delegated tasks and activities.

· Handle regular work group meetings and provide project progress and status reports to stakeholders with good presentation skills.

Skills and experience

· Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Science, or other IT-related disciplines.

· Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a Project Manager.

· Hands-on experience in full project development life cycles.

· Experience in Hardware or Technical refresh project.

· Knowledge of Singapore Authority procurement and governance processes.

· Familiar with Singapore government data security policies and governance Alternative Change Management Skills Set.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be part of an international delivery team whose main tasks will be to develop, customize, implement, and integrate the payment and self-service applications into the designated customer environment. This includes all aspect of a software engineering practice, working within a project team, end to end.

The candidate will possess experience in managing medium and large projects. Experienced in the Banking and/or payments industry is a plus.

The project manager should be experienced in different PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and able to adapt or tailor processes and/or elements to better fit the project environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Independently manage medium and large projects requiring collaboration across multiple functional areas or business groups.
• Serves as an influential interface for DN’s relationships with clients and partners.
• Participate in customer pre-sales activities and workshops as requested to define the cost estimation of the project, using predefined tools contributing to economic and technical feasibility and business value to be delivered.
• Define project plan, budget and schedules all project activities to have a sound basis for project performance measurement and appropriate levels of customer ‘sign off’.
• Define and deploy project organization and governance including work streams, roles and responsibilities, advisory board, and steering committees.
• Ensure project realization in terms of project scope, time, costs and quality. Manages project performance and risks against the agreed plan, including the change control process, and initiates timely 'remedial' actions, contract changes and escalations and ensures the formal handover of the solution, based on prior defined acceptance and handover criteria.
• Drive and control project P&L including financial forecasting. Reports accurately and timely the status and profitability of the project and escalates delta's to DN and to the customer.
• Ensure all project stakeholders are timely identified and engaged. Establishes trustworthy relations with key stakeholders on operational level. Ensure that conflicts of interests are resolved timely and according to the target project scope.
• Proficient in project management processes. Leverage creativity and comprehensive process, tool and software expertise to ensure resources are planned effectively, costs are managed, and reporting is accurate and timely.
• Ensure the management of assigned project resources to the project are in alignment with line management to assure the focus, engagement, and high performance of the project team.
• Experience working in a matrix environment and teams working in different geographical locations including offshore. Experience in managing virtual teams is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: University Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of project management experience.
• Relevant banking/financial services industry experience will be a definite advantage.
• Excellent reporting and documentation skills to ensure timely, clear, and concise information flow among all stakeholders.
• Able to work onsite at customer locations.
• Experience in working in a global team environment (onsite and virtual), as team player and independent contributor.
• Experience in full software development life cycle under different Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid environments.
