About us

The Operations project lead will be an individual contributor (with no direct reports) leading the Dyson cross functional (GSC) Global supply chain project team and manage a Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) partnership.

The lead will report to the Head of Operations. In addition to their project delivery accountabilities, the lead will lead the implementation of ‘New ways of working’ Coordinating the introduction of new process in the operations project management function.

The function is expanding, which will open opportunities for the individual in this role to progress, as a line manager and / or become accountable for a larger portfolio of products. The individual will also gain experience in transformational change implementation, and with this gain exposure to senior stakeholders in the business.

About the role

Portfolio Management

• Responsible for the delivery and industrialization of a ‘New to dyson’

product.
• Responsible for the integrated GSC plan for their project, leading the cross team of Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing test, procurement, production planning, after sales and external partners to industrialize the product.
• Responsible for coordinating all functions inputs through the supplier selection process for any outsourcing activities, for their project.
• Responsible for ensuring the agreed (with the BU) capacity is installed in time to deliver product to the markets on time and in full, for their project.
• Responsible for ensuring alignment, commitment, and execution of the production ramp plan for their project.
• Contribute to the NPO portfolio review with other OPMs and stakeholders – ensuring their content is of an exceptional standard and driven by risk and issue management.
• Identify risks to delivering their project, ensuring appropriate escalation through the agreed channels and the leaderships direction is captured and cascaded to the team.
• Responsible for the preparation of Project status reports, as to enable the portfolio health report to be published to the agreed cadence.
• Action BU requests (for their project) for GSC, engaging the appropriate GSC teams to provide accurate and timely reports.

Resource Management

• Responsible for the ‘triage’ of their project, aligning the GSC functions, to ascertain the resource demand for the project.
• Prioritizes the work packages on their project, in alignment with the portfolio manager for their project.
• Operate the project to the committed resource plan, escalating where commitments are not met.
• Monitor external partner, escalating where insufficient resource may cause a delivery issue.

Budget Management

• Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of CAPEX requests for their project.
• Manage the CAPEX Budget vs Actuals for their project. ensuring variation to the budget amount and expenditure rate is communicated to the Portfolio Manager the project sits under.

Third Party Management
• Responsible for developing good relationships between internal and third-party delivery teams.
• Responsible for ensuring the third part delivery teams adhere to the GSC plan for all projects within their portfolio.
Strategic and Continuous Improvement Accountabilities:
• Responsible for leading sponsored process and transformational change, detailing issues/gaps/problems/blockers, and driving teams to an effective solution.
• Provides strategic input to improve our ways of working both internally and externally. Identifying possible opportunities and threats that dyson leadership need to be aware of that effect their portfolio, team, and regional operational goals.
• Collaborate with the wider GSC team to develop and implement an operational strategy that supports the growth and sustainability of the BU portfolio.
• Streamline processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Ensure efficient project management across the organization.
• Drive early adoption of new process and champion best practice.

About You

PURPOSE:

To lead our Order to Cash (O2C) process management by overseeing and optimizing the entire order fulfilment cycle, from order entry to cash collection, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational processes and drive continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Process optimization: Streamline and optimize the end-to-end Order to Cash process to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall performance. Conduct regular review and identify gaps against regional standard processes and recommend improvement opportunities in current OpCo’s processes for alignment with the fit to standard implementation of new ERP system.
• Team leadership: Lead a high performing team, providing guidance, mentorship and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Be the subject matter expert in all O2C process areas and able to communicate expectation confidently and clearly with OpCo CFOs, operational managers, business process outsourcing management and service delivery team. Conduct training and workshop with OpCo operation managers and BPO team members to share best practices and knowledge of O2C process improvement initiatives.
• Cross functional collaboration: Collaborate with OpCos, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration and communication within the O2C process. Develop proposal for counter measures to address operational challenges identified and come up with innovative solution to help OpCos achieve key performance metrics and operational excellence.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, while identifying and mitigating potential risks in the O2C process. Work closely with OpCos, Finance team and other relevant departments to establish policies for process compliance management. • Technology Integration: Evaluate, implement, and optimize Order to Cash technologies and systems to support automation and improve overall efficiency. Be the catalyst of digital transformation in the organization through new solution testing and planning for DX initiatives to reduce operational cost and overhead. Support DX initiatives within Finance department and help OpCos to implement automation solution by utilizing Power Platform to improve process efficiency and team productivity. Work closely with ICT to ensure security compliance of cloud solution adoption and review proposed solution implemented by OpCos to mitigate security risk.
• Customer Satisfaction: Focus on enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment, billing, and collection processes.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and provide insights into O2C performance, contributing to strategic decision-making at the executive level. Oversee all aspects of performance metrics management for order to cash processes. Primarily responsible for maintaining and delivering timely performance metrics report to OpCo’s MDs, CFOs and operational managers. Improve efficiency and performance metric visibility through continuous innovation using Power BI and to reduce cost and overhead in OpCos. Communicate response timely and effectively to enquiry from OpCo CFOs, operational managers, BPO service delivery team and other stakeholders within the organization.

PURPOSE:

Prepare for regional monthly details performance analysis, developed from financial management report. The scopes include supports for region and Opcos annual performance budget, mid-year range strategy plan and monthly outlook. Maintaining of data integrity of performance system (Cognos TM1 and Oracle system upgrade).

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Compile and consolidate subsidiaries’ monthly performance reporting data, which include sales, costs, and expenses actual result and outlook.
• Account for variance between actual result and budget with in-deep analysis of rout cause.

PURPOSE:

The Legal Counsel is to provide assigned business units with legal advice, to provide legal support to business activities and any strategic and operational matters and issues. This will include but not be limited to providing legal advice, legal support and contract review in respect of all contractual transactions (including but not limited to regional tenders, bids and all contract management related matters. The Legal Counsel shall be part of the Asia Pacific Legal Team and shall provide legal advice and support on any projects and tasks assigned by the General Counsel (General Manager Legal) or designated team leader / supervisor. These projects can include but shall not be limited to matters relating to: corporate secretariat, governance & compliance, disputes & litigation as well as investigation and intellectual property matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• To provide competent and sound legal advice to the Company, the FB Group and its Affiliates in a practical, efficient and timely manner.
• To review/draft contracts pertaining to the business including but not limited to supplier contracts, customer contracts, inter-company contracts as well as regional tenders, bids, international sales/service transactions as well contracts with a global / multi-jurisdictional perspective.
• To negotiate with external parties (including but not limited to suppliers and customers of the Company) on legal issues and work to resolve any legal related matters arising between the Company and such external parties, suppliers or customers.
• To provide legal advice. legal support and work with the Company’s internal customers and stakeholders (internal functions) including but not limited to the sales/marketing department and all corporate support functions.
• To coordinate and co-operate with all related organizations including FB Asia Pacific affiliates, FB Japan, FF Japan, FUJIFILM Holdings and the overall FUJIFILM Group to work on contracts, legal matters and any other matters so assigned by the General Counsel.
• To raise and highlight all and any material legal issues to the supervisor / reporting manager / General Counsel and/or senior management whenever necessary.

Documentation Guru: Prepare a variety of project documentation, including Minutes of Meeting, Requirement Specifications, Design Specifications (or Understanding Documents), Training and User Manuals, Release Notes, and Project Status Reports. Clearly articulate and document business requirements. Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.

Versatile Contributor: Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Business.
• Experience: 1-2 years' experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Tech-Adept: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Attitude: You're organized, meticulous, and always approach tasks with a positive attitude.
• Project Acumen: Strong administrative skills and a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, and project standards.

Job Description:

• Drive the planning, execution, and closing of special projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives
• Facilitate cross-market collaboration, communication and strategic initiatives implementation between Regional teams and local markets
• Manage transformation projects across multiple departments, working in tandem with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives
• Lead the preparation of project status reports, including progress, issues, and risks
• Develop comprehensive change management plans that include communication, risks mitigation, and stakeholder engagement strategies
• Co-develop advanced data science products for strategic partnerships
• Analyse key business performance indicators and innovate or re-engineer processes based on industry best practices and our accelerators
• Supervise and lead project teams by providing direction, motivation, and support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Mathematics, Statistics, Operation Research, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field
• At least 3 years in a top-tier management consulting firm is a must
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in medium to large-scale project management and delivery
• Substantial exposure to the consumer technology sector or marketing function will be an added advantage
• Outstanding problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
