While the campus is under construction, you may be deployed to National University Hospital (NUH). However, you will be working in the new Woodlands Health Campus once it is operational (estimated 2023).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing all bed allocation requests and services on a timely manner via bed booking system
• Perform bed allocation duties, complying to a set of rules and priorities levels as established by the hospital, and assignment of beds to patients shall be in accordance to patients’ needs and choice where possible.
• Able to identify potential bed tight situation and activate bed tight measures.
• Coordinate patient movement with wards and other departments based on bed status if required.
• Answer phone calls on bed enquires and respond to or follow up on bed/transfer requests and ambulance arrangement.
• Assist in preparation of management reports and provide statistics as and when required.
• Send out Bed Status report on a timely basis and send out notifications of BRO and bed waiting status to designated recipients if hospital BOR is high.
• Coordinate and liaise with various parties to arrange ambulance transfer and ensure any special requirements are communicated correctly.
• Assist in collating statistics of bed request and ambulance transfers
• Assist on phone, email or fax enquires
• Assist in preparation of materials related to bed planning and ambulance services
• Provide department administrative support where required
• Involve and engaged in ad-hoc projects
• Conduct testing of applications when necessary
• Monitor, maintain and manage inventories in office

Requirements

• GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ levels, Professionals Certificate/NITEC
• Possess basic workplace English and other local languages (s) and numeracy including conversational, writing making electronic entries e.g. record information on forms, charts and checklists
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience in frontline customer service and prior working experience in healthcare industry will be an advantage
• Able to work 2 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform administration functions on the different Output Management systems namely Report2Web (R2W) and Remote Print Manager (RPM) systems.
• Liaise and coordinate Output Management requirements to the different groups and users subscribed to the Output Management systems and printing/enveloping vendor.
• Perform project management role on Output Management driven projects and initiatives.
• Participate in projects and initiatives requiring/involving Output Management support. Perform technical evaluation and analysis of existing and new systems and assess their potentials for automation/implementation.
• Perform management of vendors and contributing ideas in streamlining processes to facilitate smooth implementation of initiatives.
• Participate in audit and compliance review involving Output Management systems and print operations.
• Develop and maintain existing scripts and programs to automate Output Management operational processes.

Requirements and skills

• Knowledge in either one of more technologies : Visual Basic, Power Shell, C#, C++, Python and Java programming
• Possess an understanding of network, SQL database, and Windows platform necessary in troubleshooting issues related to Output Management systems.
• Knowledgeable in Windows infrastructure and other technologies (Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Servers (DNS), Network Load Balancer, MS Clustering, Virtual Machine (VM), MS SQL).
• Knowledgeable in Tomcat and Internet Information Services (IIS) application and web server components.
• Knowledgeable in the Windows OS environment and knows Windows/DOS programming/scripting.
• Knowledgeable in the Microsoft suite of products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Knowledge in R2W and RPM systems is a big advantage.
• Experience working in a bank Data Centre Operations environment preferably in the area of Output Report Distribution, Archival and Print Operations.
• Prior experience in statements printing and enveloping is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver results in a timely manner.
