Procurement Department on the ETA especially lead-

time and technical specifications with the help of the Design team.

Communicate with customers in case of any changes

after discussion with Sales Department.

10) Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

Attend together with the Engineering Department to

ensure complete factory testing is accomplished before

generating the in-house testing report as a record for the client

before delivery of the project.

11) Site Visit / Meeting

If necessary, attend and write minutes of meetings for recording purposes at the site; and insert these in Project

File, provided site meetings are held

12) Sub-contractor

Engagement and coordination with sub-contractors

services upon approval of GM for any ongoing projects.

Ensure quality/costs of sub-contractor work is strictly

according to requirements and budget.

13) Cost Control

Use of SAP to generate a costing sheet for comprehensive

cost management within the budget allocated.

Discuss with the Sales Department if the provision is

insufficient.

Ensure that the incurred costs (materials, labor) are

preserved, and any deviation should be highlighted to

the GM.

Seek permission if there is a cost increment even though

expenses do not exceed the budget

Project Management:

1. Assist Project Manager to plan overall schedule and tracking and prioritize job card sequence and methodology according to contractual requirements and onboard vessel/site condition.
2. Lead, manage and supervise project team on the execution of works as well as ensuring the delivery of assigned projects within the planned schedule.
3. Direct and plan sufficient resources of manpower, material, and equipment for the project team for meeting the targets according to contractual requirements.
4. Attend daily vessel coordination meetings with clients and prepare daily reports on progress.
5. Attend or chair meetings with clients, ship crews, vendors, and classifications of society for work scope clarification, permits to work systems compliance, schedule updates, working methodology planning, and any other contractual matters as required.
6. Be responsible for the team's wellbeing during traveling and offshore.
7. Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.

WSH Management:

1. To facilitate the safe execution of works particularly in hot and any other incompatible works according to onboard vessel/site conditions as and when required.
2. Administer and plan for risk management with regards to all works carried out in ensuring best safe work practices are in place.
3. Responsible for the overall safety and health standard of work together with the project manager throughout the execution of projects as assigned.

Contract and Cost Management:

1. Perform as organization representative and be responsible as per contractual requirements throughout project execution duration.
2. Coordinate with the costing department and be alert in overall costing control to ensure maximum profit return to the organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Able to travel overseas, offshore on short notice and on a long-term basis.
2. Able to attend to projects’ needs as and when required.
3. Strong level of planning, organization, people management, and communication skills in critical decision making and quick problem-solving.
4. Good knowledge of different scopes of work in aspects of the hull, mechanical, piping, and electrical for marine and offshore industries shall be advantageous.
5. High level in marine and offshore standards or class requirements on various works.
6. Good computer skills in Microsoft Office and Project.

Job Description

• Oversee the construction project from start to finish
• Planning, programming and monitoring the overall progress of works
• Liaise with client’s representatives, relevant authorities and consultants
• Implement Quality System at site
• To assist coordinate with all sub-contractors and suppliers
• To assist coordinate with all consultants including meetings, discussion as and when required
• Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
• Maintain timely updating of all project records for audits such as ISO, CONSASS and etc, reporting purposes and submission to authorities
• To monitor the project team function effectively and efficiently in meeting all KPIs (to be determine later)
• Devise the project work plans and make revision as and when need arises
• Check and verify bi-weekly project reports for submission to Client / Consultants / HQ
• Overall in charge of Safety and Health at the site
• Implement the Company’s Safety and Health program and procedures on site
• Assign work and responsibility to foreman, safety supervisor and subcontractor accordance to company safety policy
• To assist conduct all site meetings and resolve technical/ operational issues

Job Requirements

• Qualification discipline in Civil Engineering
• Bacherlor of Engineering Degree in Civil & Structure (Certificate must be recognised by PE Board)
• Experience at working both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Min 5 years' experience in related field

Scope of Works

• Reports to Project Manager.
• Overseeing the construction activities and progress, planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance to the master and detailed work programs.
• Liaise with Consultants on technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors.
• Lead a group of supervisors and ensure site progress is on schedule.
• Maintain quality standards and carry out site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance during project design and construction phases, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Support the management of manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction project management.
• Technical competence.
• Positive attitude and good team player.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency.
