Our client is an established and blue-chip PE/investment firm. It is based in town. It invests in private equity funds, with a focus on the development and innovation of new investment platforms and products to make private equity (“PE”) accessible to a broader group of investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Due Diligence Review:

• Conduct operational due diligence on private equity fund managers, their funds and co -investment opportunities by evaluating their operational infrastructure, internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance frameworks.
• Review and assess the relevance of findings raised in the operational due diligence reports prepared by third party information providers.
• Provide an assessment of private equity fund managers, their funds and co-investment opportunities’ operational due diligence posture and provide a recommendation to the firm’s Operational Committee and Investment Committee regarding the investment opportunity, as well as any relevant findings.

2. Ongoing Monitoring:

• Maintain and enhance the firm’s framework for conducting operational due diligence on private equity managers, funds and co-investment opportunities.
• Track outstanding issues arising from operational due diligence and work with the investment team for updates on these issues on a periodic basis.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational due diligence.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the investment team to engage private equity fund managers to gather necessary information and resolve any due diligence-related issues.
• Participate in meetings with prospective and existing fund managers, where required, to discuss operational practices and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in operational due diligence, with a focus on private equity funds. Prior experience in internal audit and assurance of private equity funds are also welcome.
• Good understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and operational processes, particularly those of managers in Europe and North America. 8. Open new accounts as instructed by clients and client advisors, ensuring all necessary documentation is requested, received and approved for operations.

9. Assist advisors in preparation for client meetings, help prepare and provide analysis of investment performance or other client presentations to deliver to clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

2. Minimum 3 years of client service and/or relationship manager support experience in Private Bank, with background in brokerage and/or trading.

3. Fluent written and spoken Business Mandarin is essential to support Chinese speaking clients from China.

4. Strong knowledge of the Private Bank business, well-versed across all asset classes and investment products.

5. Dynamic and independent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills in delivering exceptional client services, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to meet strict timelines and operate with strong sense of ownership and urgency.
