JOB SUMMARY
- Transaction Banking Group Product Management is hiring a Director, Domestic Payables who will have an exciting opportunity to direct and influence the development of our domestic payment product roadmap to build innovative payments solutions for our corporate and institutional clients across the bank’s footprint.
- Your priorities will span real time payments, automated clearing house systems, request for payment as well as value add services in fraud prevention, risk and governance services. You will also be leading partnership initiatives within the bank and externally within the financial eco-system with regulators, processors, service providers, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Lead and influence delivery of domestic payables strategy and value proposition, specifically in the areas of consulting, competitor analysis, process design, governance, and control.
Business
- Develop commercialisation and go-to-market material to support internal and external training, marketing and business development opportunities.
- Identify opportunities within the domestic payables proposition and jointly develop such opportunities into viable client value propositions that will drive value for clients in the money movement space.
- Work independently and in support of payments and cash management leadership to manage change within Standard Chartered, ensuring synchronisation of efforts across multiple stakeholders across Transaction Banking, Digital Channels, IT, Operations, Risk and Control.
Processes
- Work with internal and external stakeholder to drive positive change towards the delivery of a sustainable commercial card proposition with the objectives of minimising cost to serve, and delivery of a competitive client and cardholder experience.
Risk Management
- Lead change management by coordinating risk and governance efforts in the areas of product governance processes, risk approval committees
Governance
- Ensure adherence to all governance policies and framework in all aspects of deliverables.
- Complete all required governance and regulatory obligation and training where applicable

Our Ideal Candidate
- 7 years of payment related experience in either product management, sales or implementation roles
- Good understanding of cash management, experience working across multiple markets
- A degree holder, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business or Marketing
- Strong project management skills, including high attention to detail and facilitation experience
- Strong experience of working collaboratively and independently
- Proactive and independent in developing solutions to issues and challenges
- Strong business writing skills, communication and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and interpersonal skills
