The incumbent will act as a division head in charge with regard to MHI-AP Waste-to-Energy (WtE) Business Unit business field such as business development of new Waste-to-Energy projects in Singapore and South East Asia, and execution of TuasOne Waste-to-Energy project(s).
Job responsibilities
Business Development for all South East Asia WTtE Projects
• Take a leadership of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) business marketing activity such as finding new inquiries, teaming or alliance activity to join WtE projects and communication with related government organizations or gathering information
• Take a leadership when MHI-AP make a submission in WtE public or private tenders
• High-level communication with MHI and MHIECS’s Japan headquarters with regard to commercial issues, technical issues or others
• Propose short-term / long-term business plan of WtE business in South-East Asia for MHI’s entire WtE business to MHIEC Japan
Execution of TuasOne WtE project (Operation phase)
• Take a leadership for execution of ongoing project, TuasOne WtE project, as director of TuasOne Pte Ltd., which is the Special Purpose Company for the project.
• Support an admin manager of MHIECS which is O&M company for TuasOne WtE project, as assistant admin manager.
• Take a leadership for restructuring of TuasOne Pte. Ltd. and MHIECS
Execution of new WTE project(s) (Construction phase)
• Take a leadership for establishing project organization, coordination among the stakeholders etc for the new awarded WtE project(s).
• High-level communication with MHI and MHIEC’s Japan headquarters with regard to commercial issues, technical issues or others.
Requirement
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in related industry business fields (WtE, Power, IPP business) including minimum 5 years management experience
• Must have deep knowledge about EPC, O&M work in commercial as well as WtE Technologies
• Excellent Japanese Language skills (JLPT N1 or equivalent level) in both business writings & speaking to coordinate & communicate precise information with Japanese stakeholders in the APAC region / counterparts in Japan HQ.
• Prior experience in handling important decisions making regarding commercial issues, technical issues and more with NEA
• Must have experience for Public Private Partnership (PPP) business
• Skill to make connections or networks with Government Officials and key players’ executives in WtE business fields such as general contractors, consultant companies and/or WtE EPC contractors who may make alliances with us
