As an Assistant Manager/Manager in the HR Strategy and Development Department, you will be part of a dynamic team that plays a key role to lead the review and implementation of organisation-wide compensation and benefit policies, to attract and retain a committed workforce who are passionate about sustaining Singapore as one of the world’s best living environments.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Review and implement organisation-wide salary and benefits framework and policies to ensure market relevance and competitiveness, to meet evolving needs.

• Work closely with other departments in HRODD to resolve complex compensation and benefits issues as well as implement solutions due to changes in policies/guidelines.

• Partner with our outsourced HR service provider to conduct post verification of claims monthly and ensure compliance with our claims policy/guidelines.

• Collaborate with our outsourced IT and payroll vendors to enhance HR systems and processes in response to policy changes or day-to-day payroll/claims related issues.

• Review work processes to improve process efficiency through digitisation and automation.

• Any other ad-hoc projects such as assisting in the administration of National Day Awards and processing of bonus payments.

What a Business Strategy and Operations Director does at Visa:

The role of Business Strategy and Operations Director for Client Services (AP) is a key role that is responsible for a wide range of activities required to support the AP Head of Client Services in delivering against regional and global priorities. The role is based in Singapore and provides an excellent opportunity to gain a broad strategic overview of Visa’s business. It will involve close collaboration with the Client Services Leadership Team as well as strong partnership with other functional leaders across Asia Pacific.

Specific responsibilities span across the following key areas:

• Drive end-to-end management of Client Services Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) – collaborate with CS Leadership Team and other global as well as regional stakeholders to facilitate OKR targets each year. Establish accurate tracking capabilities to measure performance against targets.
• Reporting on business performance through Monthly Business Reviews. Partner with relevant people to understand any variances to targets and provide clear insights into improvement opportunities.
• Establish a robust operating rhythm with Client Success Cluster Leads to track key performance metrics and support the program management of strategic Client Success initiatives.
• Manage revenue generated through the Visa Online Access Fee including billing, forecasting, budget setting and careful management and tracking of fee waivers.
• Create materials and content for monthly business reviews, monthly staff newsletter, Town Halls, executive updates, CSLT and department meetings, and other key updates as appropriate.
• Work with AP leadership team, AP Pricing Team and Global CS Pricing on socialization of new Client Services product and pricing changes that drive revenue growth for the organization. Partner with other functional teams to promote revenue generating services to our clients. Develop capabilities to track revenue performance against budget and targets.
• Partner with the Finance Business Partner and CS Leadership Team to build the annual revenue and expense budget. Demonstrate a strong understand of the revenue and expense drivers and articulate risks and opportunities that may impact budget performance.
• Drive operational resilience by partnering with Risk and other internal CS Teams to facilitate crucial risk requirements such as Business Continuity exercises and Risk as well as Control Self Assessments.
• Partner with Global Service Excellence Team to drive key process improvement initiatives that will create efficiencies, improve the customer experience and reduce cost.

REVENUE MANAGEMENT STRAGEGY SUPPORT 

• Support the Hotel Management and Executive Director of Revenue Management to develop and maintain the hotel strategy (in terms of business mix and pricing by season and type of day) for the future periods through cooperation with sales & marketing team and optimal use of revenue management systems and channels. 

REVENUE MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE 

• Analyze in detail the hotels results and performance (average rates, occupancy rates, RevPAR..). Survey the market and competitors in terms of performance (RevPAR Index, market penetration…), pricing and availability as a basis for future tactical decisions with the Hotel GM.  Run scenarios to determine optimized actions for contracts and business mix changes 

• Perform both high level and by day forecast for both hotels and manage the forecast adjustments, uploading and reporting through Accor systems.  

PRICING, PLANNING & DISTRIBUTION OPTIMISATION 

• Take daily decisions to optimize the hotel turnover. Decisions in terms of pricing, inventory management (RMLs open/close), group quotation, distribution channels... Ensure that these recommendations are implemented in reservation and reception, and that systems (PMS, CRS/TARS, RMS) are updated accordingly.  

PMS/CRS MANAGEMENT & OPIMISATION 

• Maintain and optimize reservation systems including Opera Cloud and TARS with accurate tracking and delivery of rates to all distribution channels. 

REVPRO CULTURE 

• Ensure that a “RevPRO culture” is spreaded in the hotel, through the animation of weekly Revpro meetings and regular coaching and training sessions for the hotel teams  

TEAM DEVELOPMENT & GROWTH 

• Provide coaching and development for the Revenue Management team to support career progression and growth. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Pricing and distribution loading across all systems and tools 

• Cover responsibilities for the Executive Director of Revenue Management when out of the office 

• All other duties as required
