Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive individual to assist with our CO+I Resilience Validation Program (RVP) initiatives across the APAC region. Our primary objective is to ensure that the established Resilience controls at the datacenters are functioning as intended through rigorous testing and exercising, including periods of change or special circumstances through tactical execution of the CO+I RVP. Collaborate with partners and Microsoft teams to ensure effective design of site-specific test scenarios, proactive identification of gaps, and lead the projects leading to timely resolution of these gaps throughout their lifecycle. This includes partnering across disciplines including physical security, environmental health and safety, compliance, risk management, human resources, and legal. Leverage knowledge of the leader's goals and approach to ensure team activities are aligned with the leader's objectives. Contribute to cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment. Partners with communications teams to land internal content. Gathers information to support development of storytelling content to articulate strategies, results and goals for internal and external forums. Analyzes CO+I RVP performance metrics to support accountability for the team in executing core business activities.

The selected candidate will work as part of a diverse team that focuses on the ongoing refinement and governance of the CO+I RVP tools, strategies, and protocols, ensuring alignment with Microsoft's standards, benchmarks, and best practices. Our goal is instilling a proactive CO+I RVP culture and safeguarding the integrity of Microsoft’s global datacenters for preparation and training to assist in the face of unexpected challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a robust history of understanding, supporting and implementing global CO+I RVP session strategies. They should excel in preparing teams across large enterprises and evaluating the effectiveness of our CO+I RVP through practical drills and real-time incident management evaluation and discussion. Strategic foresight, coupled with a proven track record of achieving set objectives, is crucial. Engaging and guiding stakeholders will be a routine aspect of this role. The successful candidate will not only understand the significance of our current CO+I RVP measures but also assist to craft the future roadmap essential for a rapidly changing company and evolving risk environment. Being an astute program advocate, collaborating with various stakeholders, and influencing without direct authority are key skills for this role. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate effective responses to Resilience Validation Program session findings across the region, ensuring capturing details to allow for minimal disruptions to the business in future events.
• Work as part of the team on designing and implementing comprehensive CO+I RVP strategies and protocols tailored to organizational needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during Regional RVP sessions, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including CO+I employees, leadership, and other organizational partners.
• Regularly evaluate organizational vulnerabilities and potential threats to proactively address and mitigate risks.
• Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to CO+I RVP.
• Conduct CO+I RVP training and exercises.
• Assist or Lead post-CO+I RVP session reviews to assess response efficacy, identifying areas for improvement and lessons learned.
• Continuously monitor global and local events, trends, and news to stay informed about potential threats and best practices in CO+I RVP.
• Gather post CO+I RVP session feedback from stakeholders and adapt strategies and protocols accordingly.
• Aid across other resilience pillars as necessary.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 3+ years of experience in business or technology resilience, risk management or compliance.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience with assurance or audit functionality and requirements
• Previous work experience with Continuity & Resilience Datacenter Validation Services
• Previous work experience within Fortune-500 companies
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity, Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years’ experience in reliability, resilience, crisis/incident management, business continuity, risk management, engineering, audit or compliance workOR equivalent experience.
• Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification (e.g., Associate Business Continuity Professional [ABCP], Certified Functional Continuity Professional [CFCP], Certified Business Continuity Professional [CBCP], Master Business Continuity Professional [MBCP]).
• Business Continuity Institute (BCI) certification (e.g., Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute [CBCI], Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute [AMBCI], Member of the Business Continuity Institute [MBCI], Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute [FBCI]).
