ร organize and manage the electrical department as necessary, from receiving tenders to completing final accounts.
ร To ensure sub-contractors are supervised and their standard of work is acceptable and in compliance with recognized safety practices and specifications
ร To control and effectively manage department operations through regular site visits as necessary, to assess progress, safety, and quality, and to give instruction and advice
ร To liaise with departmental staff, clients, contractors, and suppliers in matters relating to work
ร To attend meetings, training workshops, and other work-related issues, as required, which may involve working outside normal hours
ร To liaise with specialists and consultants to obtain assistance and advice
ร To supervise staff including allocation and control of work
ร To prepare method statements in conjunction with the Safety officer
ร To liaise with the Safety Officer in arranging safety inspections
ร To check and authorize orders and invoices, ensuring correct procedures are followed
ร To liaise with Human Resources in matters relating to development and training courses for electrical staff
ร To attend management meetings as required
ร To undertake specific projects and prepare reports for the Technical Director as required
ร To adhere to existing working practices, methods, and procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities, and respond positively to new and alternative systems

In addition to the above, all supervisors and managers have a duty of care to ensure that a safe place of work is maintained and that appropriate welfare facilities are provided. Also, to ensure that all hazardous situations and possible hazardous conditions are identified and avoided. Workers must be briefed on the hazards likely to be presented, with the knowledge that the risks have been calculated, and must be informed of the controls required to mitigate those risks.
Minimum Qualification:
ร BE or B-Tech in Electrical Engineering
ร Proficient in the use of MS Word, excel, outlook, and other electrical software
Minimum Experience:
ร Proven working experience as an Electrical Engineer
ร Excellent knowledge and understanding of both marine and land-based electrical systems, procedures, and legislation
ร Ability to ensure that labor, materials, plant, and equipment are used effectively and efficiently
ร Ability to organize and direct electrical and associated staff, determining priorities to maximize the use of resources in achieving prescribed objectives
