About the role

McConnell Dowell is looking to hire a Project Plant Lead & Mechanic for our marine works project in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Will be handling all the equipment service & maintenance works as well as Pre-start inspection of all MCD equipment (through Upvise).
• Perform all the portable equipment inspection through Upvise. (Training will be provided through Upvise)
• Monthly and Incoming equipment inspections.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related Mechanic training certification.
• 5-7 years experience in servicing and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Preferably with local experience and knowledge in the civil marine works field, jetty, pier, wharf etc.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work on alternate 6-day work week.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and support data centre projects. This role is ideal for fresh university graduates who have a foundational understanding of mechanical engineering and have completed at least one internship in a related field. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems in data centre environments, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Support: Assist with the planning and coordination of mechanical systems for data centre projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines.
• System Installation Oversight: Support the installation of HVAC, cooling systems, and other mechanical infrastructure, following guidance from senior engineers.
