The main objective of the department is to assist the General Manager and Acting General Manager in the management of Singapore Branch office, Asia-Oceania Chief Regional Officer’s office, and subsidiaries of its business-related activities, as well as to support our Senior Executives in the Environmental Energy Group in our Head Office in Tokyo.

Job Description

• Working within the GCIB APAC Analytics CoE, you will leverage huge volumes of Structured and Unstructured data to solve real business problems across the business to increase revenues and deliver a great customer experience, improve productivity and reduce risk.
• Develop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's data architecture, including data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently move data from various sources to the data.
• Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and compliance and working with Core Banking System teams to remediate known data issues
• Explore and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
• You will work closely with business to understand their problem statements & apply advanced data analytics techniques.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings and may create dynamic data reports as well
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to identify and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with rest of analytics team members and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
• Hands on technical and non-technical skills to further enhance the APAC DWH and ensure meta data and data lifecycle management processes are implemented
• Lead the team to success through coaching on best practice data modelling and engineering practices
• Support division and department to drive improvement in the process and operational efficiency.

Job requirements

• Mimunum Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Banking or consultancy with background in data and reporting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team.
• Experience with building and maintaining databases for all financial and non-financial information.
• Experience with data management and reconciling data across several sources.
• Keen eye for detail and Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel), Qlikview, Tableau, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Apps and SQL.
• Work closely with business analysts to create data components.
• Application packaging and deployment experience across DEV to PROD environments.
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities, especially complex, ambiguous problems requiring integrated application.

Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Management

• Prepare management accounts for Business Development activities, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow management
• Preparation & Review of Annual Budget
• Actual vs Budget analysis of business development activities
• Responsible for management of the loans from Banks (project finance)/Shareholders.
• Dealing with Financial group company / Bank / Lenders.
• Assist in Financial arrangement and documentation
• To ensure all necessary payments such as Opex, Management fee and Loan repayments are made in a timely manner
• Contractual requirement managements (Facility agreement, Shareholders Agreement, Management Agreement etc, depends on the nature of the project)
• Verify invoices and cooperate with accounting team to ensure timely payment
• Correspondence with other stakeholders
• Review work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior and Management

Project Support

• Verify the accounting method and for each project with accounting team and auditor
• Verify the taxation matters for each project with accounting team and tax consultant
• Assist in project profitability evaluation and financial assessment
• Assist in accounting and financial management for projects in various countries of Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Job scope:

Programme Management

• Key contact person for assigned programmes to coordinate and ensure smooth delivery of all assigned programmes.
• Ensure LMS course pages are set up in a timely manner.
