Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Managing Client relationships

• Managing 4 to 5 design projects concurrently in Yards (including China)

• Providing overall leadership for the project while maintaining a focus on achieving targets efficiently

• Development and presentation of project plans, respond to Clients

• Liaison with the Shipyard, Classification society, Vendors & Clients

• Weekly progress reporting to Client & Management

Desired Profile

Essential requirements for this position are:

· Technical/ marketing skills for shipbuilding industry

· Experience in project management

· Excellent organizational and planning skills

· Strong Leadership and bilingual communication skills in English/ Mandarin

The candidate should have minimum 5 years’ experience in related role in ship design/ shipbuilding industry. Promising candidates with less experience may be considered as Trainees.

Chefs design menus create dishes and oversee the planning organisation preparation and cooking of meals in hotels restaurants and other eating places on board ships on passenger trains and in private households

Responsibilities :

- planning and developing recipes and menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation issues with managers, dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff
- supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks and other workers engaged in food preparation
- inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
- determining how food should be presented, and creating decorative food displays
- instructing cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
- participating in the recruitment of kitchen staff and monitoring their performance
- preparing, seasoning and cooking speciality foods and complex dishes
- explaining and enforcing hygiene and food safety regulations

• 1) Shall ensure the daily operations of various sites assigned and liaise with clients on the requirements
• 2) Arrange for daily staff deployments to various sites and ensure company does not incur any liquidated damages on the projects
• 3) Rostering of monthly schedules
• 4) Coordinate with site in charge on backlog if any
• 5) Rectify on site issues with workers or clients upon receiving feedback
• 6) Reporting of daily attendance to head office and to submit and ensure timesheets are all in proper orders
• 7) Prepare monthly financial reports for various operations projects
• 8) Arrange for coverage in case of absence of staff and able to hands on in event of no coverage
• 9) Candidate must be independent and proactive to provide suggestions and solve problems with initiative
• 10) Candidate shall possess class 3 licence
• 11) Candidate shall respond to any business or projects assignment regardless of time in event of need
