The Requirements

• Attend and actively participate in operations meetings to stay informed about manpower scheduling and updates.
• Coordinate and arrange all necessary logistics for the mobilization and demobilization of offshore personnel from their home country to offshore vessels and vice versa.
• Ensure all arrangements are executed with meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
• Liaise with clients to manage and submit all required documentation for offshore projects.
• Prepare and distribute various types of correspondence, including Minutes of Meetings, Memos, RFIs, and transmittals to departments and clients.
• Assist in the preparation of travel itineraries, booking of flights, and handling of visa and hotel reservations.
• Compile and validate travel expenses and claims submitted by travel agencies and subcontractors.
• Schedule, plan, and manage logistical details for training sessions and medical appointments.
• Assist with calendar management, courier handling, scanning, and photocopying tasks.
• Order corporate gifts and coordinate bookings for event venues.
• Handle any additional tasks assigned by management

Responsibilities:

· Manage and oversee day-to-day construction management of project

· Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing contract, technical specification, schedule and cost

· Coordinate across internal trades to ensure project is on schedule and within budgeted cost

· Monitor and report to Senior / Project Manager of project progress versus baseline, including issues and risks in a timely manner

· Conduct VSCC meetings and take charge of ship work safety and cleanliness

· Conduct progress meetings to manage issues

· Liaise with trades on the activities and construction effort needed to achieve progress safely, within schedule and budget

· Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to support schedule and cost

· Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented

· Review manhours and duration forecasts to completion and resource requirements

· Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance

· Manage schedule, EAC and POC together with Senior / Project Manager

· Conduct progress meetings to manage issues

· Responsible for planning, scheduling and costing

· Support in project tender when called upon or any other adhoc project duties as required

· Handle warranty issues

· Manage customer expectations at site and maintain good customer relationships

Requirements:

· Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Marine Engineering/Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering or Naval Architecture

· Possess SRM Cert will be advantageous

· Possess Project Management Skills in: Planning, Scheduling and Costing, Risk management, HR management, Customer Relationship management.

· 5 years relevant working experience in ship repair / ship building and/or offshore projects

· Strong leadership, interpersonal, effective writing and computing skills

· Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To lead, motivate and supervise the Project and Maintenance Team.
• Responsible for the overall project planning, cost control and project management
• Conduct site inspection prior to commencement of work
• Handle project tendering stages
• Prepare and manage project schedule to ensure project completion within schedule
• Read detailed drawings, understand construction plan and knowledge of fabrication methods
• To prepare and adhere to the annual budget.
• Liaise closely with designers, contractors and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of project within budget and with good quality
• Ensure all plans/documents to landlords/local authorities are approved prior to commencement of work
• Manage the day-to-day progress of works on site and resolve all contractor/vendor and building facility management coordination issues
• Attend regular site meetings and inspections
• Report on project status and take appropriate actions to ensure project progress is on schedule
• Monitor quality and contractor/vendor performance through supervision, regular inspection and snagging
• Ensure work performed on-site comply with the local authority requirements
• Enforce site safety procedures, identify and manage risks arising from the workplace or work process
• Conduct final verification and quality audit for all completed contractor/vendor’s work
• Conduct and complete progressive final snagging and defects clearance
• Work closely with Ops Team on timely projects handover
• Management of post construction issues with Ops Team, consultants, contractors, vendors and relevant authorities and ensure timely rectification
• To assist in the development and management of strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the Company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• NTC / Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, process engineering or related disciplines
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the food industrial sector, (e.g.foodcourt and coffeeshop project and reinstatement works)
• Proven record in managing and leading a Project/Maintenance Team
• Good interpersonal skills with the attributes of a team player and a keen eye for details
