Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in [specific industry, e.g., oil and gas, manufacturing, construction].
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and project controls.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and project lifecycles.

The Job

• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.

• Explain to clients on how a product will best satisfy their needs: Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products to existing and prospective customers. Show how the company’s products are better than the competitors.

• Manage and interpret customer requirements: Talk to customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.

• Collaborate with colleagues and supplier to understand customer requirements and provide sales support such as helping clients identify problems with installed equipment.

• Recommend improved materials, machinery or parts to customers, showing how changes will lower cost, increase production and/or solve clients’ problems.

• Work as a team to gather information to submit tender.

• Frequent travelling locally to visit clients and monitor installation progress at job sites.

The Requirements

The incumbent must have the acumen to learn and understand the mechanical and engineering aspects of the systems. It is not necessary to own a car as company vehicle will be provided, but a class 3 driving license is a must-have. Strong interpersonal skill is necessary for this role for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the internal as well as the extended overseas team.

Job Scope

• Manage and execute project in cost effective, on time delivery with quality standards to meets client expectations;
• Managing the projects in accordance to our Company’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Standards and contractual requirements;
• Pre and post-contract stages from vetting tender documents, organizing tender activities as well as settlement of accounts with owner, sub-contracts / suppliers;
• The development and implementation of project management plans through the provision of project scheduling, monitoring, reporting and forecasting, ensure that safety regulations are complied;
• Providing and preparing all scheduling, budgeting and specification for the project work;
• Check drawings and quantities and ensure that the calculations are accurate for the project implementation;
• Carry out project planning, cost control, project management and documentations;
• Provide the direction in construction planning, coordinate work with other departments, sub-contractors, clients and consultants to ensure overall construction progress as scheduled;
• Liaise and assist in submission of all necessary permit, license to all relevant authorities for the project work;
• Attend meetings, correspondences and liaise with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers;
• Resolve design and site problems encountered during the construction period;
• Plan and manage actual and post construction issues with the clients, consultants, sub-contractors and relevant authorities;
• Ensure proper documentation of the project, such as record correspondence, as-built drawings, etc..;
• Close supervision of work carried out by sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project schedule;
• Ensure highest quality on the work carried by the sub-contractor, fabricators and suppliers;
• Liaise with consultants, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers on the implementation of the projects;
• Check on the progress claim submitted by the sub-contractors;
• Monitor, track, report project progress, supervise Engineers, Supervisor, Technicians and sub-contractors’ on site;
• Follow-up on the defective work and ensure timely rectification by contractors, fabricators and suppliers;

Job Requirement

• Recognised Degree by BCA in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Projects, especially in Marine Construction of Jetty, Wharf, Harbour, Dredging, etc.

• Project Planning and ExecutionDevelop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, to ensure successful delivery aligned with Wiqayah’s objectives.
  
• Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure expectations are clearly communicated and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Risk Management and Problem-SolvingIdentify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to minimize project disruptions.
  
• Team Leadership and CoordinationLead cross-functional teams, delegate tasks effectively, and provide guidance to ensure team alignment with project goals and Wiqayah’s quality standards.
  
• Performance Monitoring and ReportingMonitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare detailed reports for internal and client review, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  

Responsibilities:

• Increase company's revenue and presence in the Singapore Enterprise Resources Planning Software (ERP) market through acquisition of new accounts
• Generate and respond to sales leads' request for ERP software demo
• Setup meeting and worked closely with our ERP presales consultant to make effective ERP system presentation with existing and potential prospects
• Respond to quotation requests and assist with business and grant proposals
• Independent in monitoring your sales pipeline and be able to executive effective sales analysis and strategy in winning accounts
• Meet sales targets and sales performance KPI’s as agreed with you and management
• Update inhouse CRM system for sales reporting
