Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for Mechanical Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Mechanical Project Manager who is managing the Mechanical Subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as an Mechanical Project Engineer on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field are in compliance with such documents.  The candidate must have strong Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Mechanical & Plumbing Construction Managers to lead the mechanical subcontractor installation drawing approval process between the mechanical subcontractor, Resident Engineer, Resident Technical Officer, Accredited Checker, and the Local Authority having Jurisdiction, and Assist in the receipt and review of all mechanical submittals.
• Log and post all mechanical changes and as-built information on field drawings. Provide such information to VDC team so such information can be incorporated into the final virtual model.
• Ensure all information is current and communicated with the MEP project team.
• Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment.
• Attend relevant Factory witness testing as directed by the Mechanical Manager.
• Liaison with the Mechanical engineering consultants, supervisory engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff.
• Assist in implementation the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. cloud-based QA/QC program for the Mechanical scope of work.
• Ensure that Mechanical Subcontractors adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of Mechanical equipment.

As an I&C Project Manager in the project team, you will be responsible to provide high quality engineering services and specifications for the Planning, Design, Construction, Start-up, and Commissioning of your discipline specific Facilities systems in support of the success of the project.  

You will participate in Project Design and Scope Development, Documentation, and Control Change, Vendor Selection, Project Tendering, and onsite Discipline Project Safety, Coordination and Execution for your discipline. 

You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience managing MEP projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. You will have a strong working knowledge of all aspects of I&C systems and be able to effectively communicate with all project stakeholders.   

• Provide input and support to the Project Lead during the development of project procedures (Project Execution Plan and Construction execution plan). 

• Coordinate with GFC, Local Project Team, Vendors, AE, GC etc. to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements:
