Role Summary
The Assistant Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will be a key contributor in driving financial insights, improving decision-making processes, and supporting the organization’s growth strategy through data-driven financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis:
- Supervise the FP&A team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data updates and maintenance.
- Lead the team in preparing and analyzing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cost variance analysis, and budget vs. actual performance assessments.
- Perform advanced financial modeling and analysis, such as cash flow forecasting, project assessments, cost-benefit evaluations, and investment appraisals.
Financial Planning:
- Develop and maintain strategic financial models in Microsoft Excel to perform scenario analysis.
- Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and improving cost-efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating potential financial risks to the organization.
- Support internal and external audit procedures as required.
Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Activities:
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to streamline FP&A processes.
- Provide support to management on special projects and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or related finance roles.
- Prior exposure to the Food & Beverage sector is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- Proactive, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
