Qualifications

The Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore invites applications for up to two Tenure track (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor) position in urban planning and design. Successful candidates should be actively engaged with urban issues in Asia. They should have interests in developing interdisciplinary research to address pressing challenges to high-density urban environment, especially in Asia. They are strongly encouraged to develop collaborative research in the context of the newly established College of Design and Engineering as well as with industry partners and government agencies within and beyond Singapore.

Successful candidates should also have interests and experience in running urban design and/or planning studios in an interdisciplinary setting. We are especially interested in applicants who are able to deploy the studio as a testbed for questions related to pressing challenges to high-density tropical cities. Tutor Relations:

• Responsible for schedules and forecasts of project development.
• Work with relevant personnel to rectify any electrical/mechanical issues.
• Involve in design works and make sure specifications are in line with Authority’s code of practice and requirement.
• Liaise, coordinate, and monitor project progress to ensure that schedule is on time as planned.
• Prepare method statement, risk assessment, construction drawing, catalogue submission, safe work procedure and all other documents as requested by site.
