Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Business Development Manager located in Alps Ave. Our clients are in the Freight Forwarding Industry. You will be responsible for developing marketing strategies to drive company growth by attracting new business, with a strong focus on local and Intra-Asia markets. It requires a deep understanding of market dynamics and competition to formulate effective sales strategies. The primary goals are to increase overseas shipments and build strong client relationships by implementing successful sales strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key responsibilities include acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as the main point of contact for client inquiries. The role also involves conducting market research, negotiating terms with clients, collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations, and keeping management updated on sales progress. Additionally, staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities is crucial, as is working on tenders or bids when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant industry

The Job:

• Perform market research to identify areas of interest, iterate on key findings and communicate market insights
• Evaluate key policy and industry shifts in existing and new business space to identify emerging trends, opportunities, threats and distil relevant implications to the company
• Analyse competitors’ activities to determine the best strategies for increasing market share or generating new business opportunities.
• Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas and business partnerships

• Min Degree in Business or Economics with Min 5 years of relevant working experience
• Good coommunication and interpersonal skills

• Manage SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Gather and clarify requirements from various regional offices.

Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related field.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience, particularly in the SD, MM, and FI modules.
• At least 3 years of experience in the trading industry, preferably with experience in a trading house or working with a trading house.
• At least 3 years of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) experience, with the ability to improve processes, whether system-related or not.
• Good communication skills in English and Japanese language (to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients).
• Proficiency in documenting business processes using tools such as PowerPoint or Visio.
• Experience with digital-related projects, including Robotics Process Automation (RPA), SuccessFactors, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics is a plus.
