Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing complex projects within the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) sector. This role ensures that projects are executed efficiently, adhering to company procedures, objectives, and client requirements, with a focus on high-quality HVAC system design, installation, and performance optimization.

Job Responsibilities

• HVAC System Design and Installation:Oversee the design, installation, and integration of HVAC systems, including components like ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
  
• Maintenance Programs:Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure HVAC systems function efficiently and meet energy standards.
  
• Site Inspections:Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
  
• Team Management:Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring adherence to project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  
• Collaboration:Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that HVAC systems integrate seamlessly with overall building designs.

Job Requirements:

• Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the ACMV field, specifically with HVAC systems and projects.
  
• Educational Qualification:Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  
• Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including equipment selection, load calculations, and ductwork design.
  Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations related to HVAC system design and installation.
  
• Project Management:Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, budgets, and team performance effectively.
  
• Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

About the role

• As a PMO you are expected to drive various tasks related to customer migration.

Job Description

• Monitor Contractors' safety performance and participate actively in site safety management in highlighting to the relevant parties on immediate actions to be taken
• Follow up on all safety matters related to Design for Safety (DfS), WSH etc
• Conduct safety inspections including taking photos of unsafe acts and conditions and bringing to main contractor's attention
• Issue and closely follow up on field observation notices including safety non-conformances notices and respond to site incident(s) in ensuring contractors' carry out emergency response as required
• Conduct roving safety inspections, emergency & incident response and facts finding
• Provide daily safety inspection report to OIC
• lead and conduct monthly safety inspection of the Site and submit the report to Superintending Officer
• Organize and participate in regular Safety Site Walk and Inspection with client and stakeholders
• Submit monthly reports on safety indicators & trending analysis on monthly safety performance
• Report any accident/incident/near miss on site to the OIC and provide all necessary detailed information
• Conduct Inspections for precast elements

Criteria

a. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry

preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor.

b. Minimum 2 years of experience in tunneling and/or deep excavation

works.

c. Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM.

d. Has obtained certificate in development of a Risk Management

Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.

e. Class 3 Qualified Driving License.

f. Must be willing to work shifts
