NAEUM Restaurant Group operates three concepts: i) NAEUM, a 1 MICHELIN-starred restaurant serving contemporary Seoul cuisine, ii) HIDEAWAY by NAEUM, our private dining space, iii) GUUM Contemporary Grill, a premium Korean steakhouse.

We are currently looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at NAEUM, the flagship restaurant.

Requirements:

- at least 4 years of total Back of House experience with at least 1 year in fine dining (MICHELIN accolade or equivalent).

- Established skills in butchering, filleting, grilling, and other general food preparation skills

- Strong team player

- Willingness to learn and stamina to upkeep with MICHELIN quality standard

- Able to guide juniors well

- Strong sense of responsibility for your kitchen section

- Experience in ingredients ordering and inventory tracking

- Languages: strong command of spoken and written English

• Working Days: 5 days rostered work week (May be required to work weekends/PH)
• Working Hours : 8am to 5:30pm
• Location: Buroh Lane [ Shuttle service from Lakeside MRT ]
• Salary: up to $2600

Requirements:

• Certificate in Pastry Skills or its equivalent
• Preferably 1 year of pastry experience
• Able to work on weekends/public holidays

Job Scope:

• Daily production of pastry products in accordance with specifications from recipes
• Maintain highest quality and consistent products standards
• Ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around workstation and strictly abide with health/sanitation regulations
• Any other ad-hoc duties base on operational needs

• Location : Newton
• Working Days : 5 days (include weekend , Off at Mon & Tues)
• Working Hours: 1130am - 5pm
• Salary : $2,500 - $2,800 (Depends on Experience)

Roles & Responsibilities

• To assist in supervising, coaching and guiding the junior team members in their daily work
• To regularly check for consistency in quality and standard of food
• To be involved in the preparation of mise-en-place and food production
• To be involved in daily recording of food wastage, ordering and receiving of stock, etc
• To conduct the month-end inventory stocks check
• To suggest and discuss with the Senior Outlet Chef / Outlet Chef on the ergonomic aspect of the kitchen operations to ensure a smoother and more efficient operational work flow
• To assist in maintaining of the personal grooming and hygiene standard of the team
• To assist in maintaining of the overall hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
• Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior or Senior Management
