As our Executive chef. You will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of your kitchen.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labour costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Manage kitchen staff
Rectify any arising issues

Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform any relevant administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developing new product according to development requests and involve in improvement of existing products.
• Look out for new trends and new products in the market.
• Control Food Cost
• Daily ordering of food and supplies.
• Inventory
• Ensure that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic, meeting company SOP/SOC
• Keep up to date with current promotions and new items in menu.
• Ensure the procedures for supplies, equipment, and work areas are in compliance with safety standards and SOP.
• Assist in keeping food wastage to minimum, through correct product measurements.
• Maintain good knowledge on standard food preparation through training, and training of Junior Kitchen team.
• Always adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing operations for Chinese cuisine restaurants, with a focus on Hunan or Sichuan cuisine.
• Strong understanding of Chinese culture, dining habits, and customer service expectations.
• Mature and positive attitude
• Possess good initiative and leadership skills
• Able to commit on weekends and public holiday.
