4. Inventory and Stock Management:Assist in managing inventory, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are stocked, rotated, and stored properly.

   Monitor stock levels and work with the Head Chef to ensure minimal waste and proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
   
5. Health, Safety, and Hygiene:Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with local health regulations.
   Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and workstations.
   Ensure that all kitchen staff follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
   Regularly check kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and arrange for repairs as needed.
   
6. Collaboration with Front-of-House:Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and that dishes are prepared and delivered promptly.
   Participate in pre-service briefings with the front-of-house team to discuss the menu, special requests, and any dietary restrictions.
   Maintain open communication with the service staff to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.
   
7. Cost Control and Budgeting:Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen costs, including food costs, labor costs, and wastage.
   Help with the development and implementation of strategies to reduce food waste and optimize resources.
   Monitor portion sizes and ensure that ingredients are used efficiently.
   
8. Assisting the Head Chef:Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, recipe creation, and cost control.
   Take charge of the kitchen and operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

• Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef in a bakery, restaurant, or similar setting
• Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipment
• Ability to work with various ingredients, such as flour, sugar, eggs, butter, yeast, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for long hours
• Food safety certification or training is a plus

The Chef de Partie is a skilled and experienced culinary professional responsible for overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation in a high-end dining establishment. This role requires a strong culinary background, creative flair, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of junior cooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily preparation and production of all dishes, ensuring that they are prepared according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen, following all HACCP guidelines and local health regulations.
• Conduct regular taste tests and plate presentations to maintain quality standards and uphold the reputation of the establishment.
• Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
• Assist in managing the kitchen's inventory, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available for daily production.
• Monitor food cost and portion control to reduce waste and maintain cost efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Demi Chef/ Chef de Partie or similar role in Banquet within reputable restaurants or hotels.
• In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends.

The Chef directs and manages the preparation of menu (Thai) dishes at one or more kitchen stations. As we are a Thai restaurant, fluency in Thai is preferred.

Duties include:

• Coordinate and manage food preparation at a kitchen station.

• Apply Thai culinary techniques to prepare food according to the establishment’s standard recipes and operating procedures.

• Plate menu dishes prior to service.

• Support the head chef in the development of new menu dishes.

• Monitor and guide Kitchen Staff in appropriate portioning and serving size for waste control.

• May oversee one or more Kitchen Assistants, Cooks, and/or other Kitchen Staff

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations and upkeep of cooking equipment.
