1. Culinary Education: Formal culinary training or apprenticeship in pastry arts from a recognized culinary institute or equivalent work experience.

2. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.

3. Technical Skills: Proficient in a wide range of pastry techniques, including baking, piping, molding, tempering chocolate, and sugar work. Knowledge of different types of dough, creams, fillings, and glazes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

- Clean up station and take care of leftover food

- Stock inventory appropriately

- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
