Responsibilities:
HSE Policy Development and Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure alignment with company policies and international best practices, specifically for the electronic gases industry.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Oversee the safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous substances in line with industry regulations.
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and address non-compliance issues promptly.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local government standards and requirements for hazardous substances and safety practices.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory reporting and ensure the workforce is aligned with legal requirements.
Incident Management
- Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, focusing on root cause analysis.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve workplace safety.
Training and Certification
- Conduct HSE training sessions for employees, contractors, and vendors with a focus on hazardous substances and emergency response.
- Ensure the workforce meets the safety competency levels required for working in the electronic gases industry.
Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, particularly for handling hazardous substances and chemical incidents.
- Organize regular drills to test readiness and update protocols based on feedback and evaluations.
Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor HSE performance metrics, such as compliance rates and incident statistics, to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers to implement proactive safety measures and foster a culture of safety excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mandatory Certification: Certificate in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE).
- Preferred Certification: Certificate in Manage Hazardous Substances or other relevant safety certifications.
- Over 8 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the electronic gases, Chemical or related industries.
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems and local government standards, with specific expertise in managing hazardous substances.
- Diploma or higher education in a relevant field, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Skilled in Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Clear thinking, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
