ALG is currently hiring Quality Engineers for our client based in Singapore. This role is an exciting long-term contract position with us.

Our client is renowned in the aviation industry for aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines.

Job Description:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements throughout the maintenance and repair processes of aero engines. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of safety and performance.

Duties:

• Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, maintain, and enhance the QMS in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA).
• Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures. Prepare audit reports and facilitate corrective actions.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective/preventive actions to enhance quality and efficiency in maintenance operations.
• Documentation Control: Oversee the control of quality documentation, including maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance checklists.
• Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and facilitate root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Supplier Quality Assurance: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials and components meet quality specifications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure all quality processes align with industry standards.
• Reporting: Prepare and present quality metrics, trends, and reports to management and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within the aerospace industry, preferably in aero engine maintenance.
• Knowledge of Part 145 (CAAS, EASA), SMS (Safety Management System), ISO 9000 standards family (International Organization for Standardization), or equivalent.
• Certifications: ISO9001/AS9100/9110 Internal/Lead auditor
  Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ CQE) are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in quality management tools and methodologies; familiarity with aviation regulations and standards.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Reporting to the Network Lead, responsible for executing the optimization and conduct troubleshooting of the organization's entire network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity across MCC.

Job Scope:

Network Architecture and Design:

Proficiency with AWS networking services such as VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53 (DNS), and AWS PrivateLink.

Firewalls and Security Appliances:

Hands-on experience with cloud-native firewalls like AWS WAF. Expertise in network segmentation, traffic filtering, and firewall policy management to enforce security.

Load Balancing and Traffic Management:

Proficiency in configuring and managing load balancers (e.g., AWS ELB, NLB, ALB). Understanding of traffic optimization, latency reduction, and ensuring high availability for distributed applications.

DNS and DHCP Management:

Experience with DNS management (e.g., Route 53) and DHCP configurations for network services.

Network Security:

Expertise in securing network infrastructure using VPNs, encryption, firewalls, and network ACLs. Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and network security best practices.

Skillset Requirements:

• AWS administration proficiency (ALB,ELB,Route53,Transit Gateway, VPCs, Direct Connect, AWS WAF)
• Networking protocols knowledge (e.g. Https, Http)

JOB REQUIREMENT

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and best practices.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS & Azure, including cloud-native services, infrastructure components, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices for protecting cloud resources and data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross[1]functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably more than 5-8 years of experience as an ICT engineer (Cloud)/Cloud Support Engineer
• Experience working in both Linux and Windows operating environments are preferred.
• Experience in working in Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) is preferred
