• Ensure safety of each child through close supervision, whether in the classroom, play area, or any other areas in the school compound

Your Role:

• Teach 10 to 12 classes weekly (2 hours per class) and inspire a love for Math in primary school students.
• Utilize our proprietary analytics platform to track student progress and provide individualized feedback to optimize learning outcomes.
• Share detailed progress reports with parents, offering actionable insights to support students’ academic development.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to refine the curriculum and contribute fresh ideas to enhance teaching standards.
• Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. (Local university graduates preferred).

Responsibilities include:

● Collaborating with other educators to implement best practices and respectful nurturing and care to children aged 18 months to 6 years old.

● Creating an emergent curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and aligned with our Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy.

● Lead parent communications in-person and via online platforms, displaying strong communications skills, providing a nurturing, cooperative approach to parent relationships in a multi-cultural community.

● Ensure a clean, safe and enriching environment for children’s explorations

● Engage in reflective practice using planning and observation tools provided

● Prepare documentation pieces for families and school environments, showcasing children’s learning and educator’s reflections

● Coordinate parent events for festivals, exhibitions, field trips and parent volunteering opportunities

● Parent events will take place termly in the evenings for celebrations and parent-teacher evenings, but these are pre-planned in the academic calendar, which runs from January to December.

Pre-Requisites:

● A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Fresh graduates welcomed.

● 3 or more years of working experience with children under 6 is preferred.

● Training or experience of working within a Reggio Emilia-inspired context will be an advantage, but training can also be provided on the job.

Job Description

• Deliver clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
• Play an important role in the planning and development of curriculum and programmes to facilitate student learning
• Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of students
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
• Understand students' diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
• Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team and parents in providing quality education and feedback for students.
• Plan and write IEP lesson plans, reports, records and documentation.
• Guide and coach Teacher Aides

Job Requirements

• Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma
• Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education is preferred
• 5 credits in GCE 'O' level with a pass in English and Mathematics is mandatory
• Preferably 3 years of teaching experience at primary level
• Familiar with national curriculum
• Demonstrate passion in teaching
• Experience in teaching children and youths with autism will be an added advantage
