The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for GCE 'A' level Literature (Paper 1 and/or the Elective paper in Romantic poetry using the revised syllabus)
2. Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
3. Evaluate and provide feedback on students’ performance via assignments and assessments
4. Monitor students’ social development through counselling and working with parents
5. Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
6. In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee in addition to civics tutorship
7. Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
8. Any other duties assigned by the School

Job Requirements

• A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
• A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is preferred
• Proficiency in the use of education technology or data analytics will be an advantage

Working with children 18 months to 6 years old

Support teachers in:

· providing various experience and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling

· classroom management and providing a safe and secure environment

· monitoring and assisting children in the classroom, playground

· assisting children requiring daily care, e.g. toileting and feeding

· building good relationship with parents, staff and students outings

· establishing routines, providing positive guidance and building children's esteem

· the upkeep of teaching resources, prepare art and craft materials, decorations and learning environment of the classroom

To follow assigned work shift of the centre and perform other related duties as required

Job Scope

• To conduct group tuition for English language (P1 to S4)
• To follow the teaching guide provided
• To update the students' attendance weekly and progress report monthly
• Provide feedbacks to parents

Job Requirements

• He / She must have completed Diploma or A level (Primary position)
• He / She must possess a degree from a recognised university (Secondary position)
• A good grade in teaching subject

• Good classroom management; able to handle up to 12 students

Job Scope:

Provide administrative support to teachers on a project basis. Administrative duties will generally include:

1. Assisting in managing students in classrooms when teachers are not available;

2. Housekeeping duties and bulk printing/photocopying;

3. Covering library duties at lunch and during librarian’s leave and

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

To improve the quality of learning outcomes for students by providing teaching and learning ‘best practices’ within the framework of the school’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Learning Principles, Culture, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes.

TEACHER STANDARDS

1. Teaching is focused on conceptual understanding

Teaching ensures students have frequent opportunities to engage with the statement of inquiry / central idea, key and additional concepts and develop their own conceptual understandings. They can explain or demonstrate their learning, reflect on their learning and make connections to unfamiliar situations or real-world contexts

Teaching develops a student's natural curiosity and wonder to provide opportunities for students to investigate, inquire into and answer questions that they have formulated.
