Responsibilities for Sales Clerk

• Maintain a self-starter attitude while process sales transactions and providing excellent customer service

• Anticipate needs by greeting customers promptly and assessing their requests in a busy environment

• Support senior sales clerks by completing sales according to established policies and procedures and be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Attend product training meetings and develop an understanding of all the company's products

• Monitor and organize inventory while effectively marketing new products and merchandising products for sale

• Collaborate with sales teams in weekly meetings by bringing a friendly, can-do attitude, and practice reliable and punctual attendance

• Exceed weekly and monthly sales projections while advising customers on buying options and add-on sales

• Perform all duties as assigned by lead sales manager while exhibiting the capability to get along with others

Qualifications for Sales Clerk

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with a valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Must be able to travel to other retail locations within a 50-mile radius and capability to maintain a clean driving record

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or the ability to learn new software quickly

• Demonstrated ability to stoop, bend, and kneel frequently, and the ability to be on your feet for eight hours during one work shift

• Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new sales with customers, including up-selling and add-on selling

• Be strongly skilled in organization, problem-solving, customer service, and multitasking while being committed to excellence

• Have product knowledge before your start date and willing to begin as a part-time sales clerk

• Must wear professional attire while on the sales floor and commit to the high standards the company has put forth

• Have a background that shows dependability, a love of closing deals, and that customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to you

We are a Nursing Home located in Siglap. Currently looking for an Account Clerk on a full-time basis, Mon-Fri.

Requirements

• Diploma
• Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Report to General Manager, and able to work with little supervision
• Meticulous and well-organised with strong analytical and numerical skills
• Possess good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Xero a Plus
• Good communication and presentation skills

Job Scope:

For the Nursing Home:

• Perform Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions; including data entry
• Assist in monthly Payroll and CPF preparation
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, contracts, revenue reports, etc. as assigned
• Assist with processing of payments as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Assist in quarterly GST preparation and submission, annual auditing, tax and other financial needs as necessary
• Assist with financial accounting and preparation of financial schedules (General ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets) to achieve monthly timely closing of accounts
• Assist with general admin duties as assigned
• Maintain proper documentation and filing
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned
• Work closely with nursing department

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Collect and organize marketing, procurement, and inventory business documents, and establish archives.
• Record contract information, classify and organize it as required, and prepare reports accordingly.
• Create procurement records, classify and organize them as required, and prepare reports accordingly.

• Conduct physical inventory checks of various assets and stocks, and analyze discrepancies.
• Input marketing, procurement, and inventory information into the software system as required.
• Prepare operational, cost, and expense management reports.

This position provides support in many broad areas of the entire Human Resources (HR) functions at Post. The position assists with Locally Employed (LE) staff services, and American services including but not limited to providing all aspects of administrative support to the HR team members. The position has regular routine communication with external contacts in Singapore government agencies and private sector companies, responds to inquiries and handles official communications on a variety of HR functions and subject matter. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum two years of full-time post-secondary study in business management and/or human resource management (or the equivalent hours spread across a part-time study period) at college or university, AND at least two (2) years of experience in human resources is required; OR
• Completion of secondary school or high school education, AND at least four (4) years of experience in human resources is required.
• Must have fluent, strong English oral and writing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Must have pleasant personality, be courteous, tactful, and effective in dealing with both American and local employees.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to draft error free correspondence.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint required.
