You will act as a clinical resource person to nursing staff inthe management of patients and manages a practice caseload inNeuroscience. You will adopt evidenced-based clinical practice, teachingprogrammes to nursing staff, provide resources and comprehensive patienteducation programmes to patients, families & public. You will also be cross-trained and deployed to provide nursingcare in the Endovascular Centre. Able to performrotating shifts and on-call duties.

Requirements

• Recognised General Nursing qualification and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
• Degree in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent in the area of Neuroscience specialty is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical working experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Possesses good communication skills and a good team player

Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating the overall clinical practice setting and standard of care for patients requiring community care and supportive/palliative care in NNI. You will work closely with all grades of nursing staff, physicians, inter-disciplinary team and community partners to provide optimal supportive to our patients. Responsibilities:

1. Provide medical care and patient counselling to help patient understand about the scans or procedures and contrast injection

2. Perform cannulation and maintain meticulous records

3. Chaperone doctor/radiographer, prepare patients for scan examination as needed

4. Regular upkeep and maintenance of all the equipment under your charge (eg BP, E-trolley check, injector etc)

5. Ensure availability of medical supplies (eg contrast, syringes etc)

6. Infection control practice, standard and transmission precautions, isolation care, disposal of sharps/waste/linen

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Nursing with at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in Radiology setting

2. Registered with Singapore Nursing Board

3. Ability to perform Phlebotomy and Cannulation

4. Highly motivated, ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment

5. Able to cover after office hours duties if necessary. There will be NO on call duties.
