Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

The Departments are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and willing to join us for a challenging and fulfilling appointment as Clinical Fellow on a contractual basis.

•Possess a registrable medical degree with the Singapore Medical Council

•Possess 3 years of post-housemanship experience

•Be in active clinical practice

•Highly motivated and possess a good record in clinical excellence and commitment to medical education and research

•Able to demonstrate good diagnostic and clinical management acumen

•Able to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion and excellence in his/her work

Job Description

• Handle front desk customer service including greet patients, verify their information and patient registration.

• Schedule patient appointments, follow up on missed appointments, and maintain the clinic's calendar.

• Maintain patient records and process forms and documents related to patient care, insurance, and billing.

• Assist with billing and insurance coordination.

• Assist with simple procedures during patient examinations, including holding instruments or preparing equipment as well adjusting clothing, positioning, or providing instructions.

Job Requirements

• Good communication and coordination skill

• Relevant experience in a clinical setting

• With experience in medical insurance processing

• Good organizational skills
