Responsibilities:

• Prefer with knowledge of clinic setting and OT and ward recovery setting
• Ensure that patients' case-notes and investigations reports are ready before the start of clinic sessions as well as prepare listings of patients for elective procedures.
• Assist the doctors to perform minor clinical procedures and provide nursing care to patients during physical examination according to the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety at all times
• Proide nursing care and screening programmes for women, including patient counselling
• Procide financial counselling and education on operation / treatment procedures
• Assist in observing and reporting patients' condition and progress during their recovery from the minor procedures
• Establish and maintain the confidentiality of patients' medical records
• Order medicine and other supplies and dispense medication accordin to doctor's orders
• Monitor, maintain and replace clinic equipment, instruments, inventories and supplies
• Prepare and pack surgical items / instruments for autoclaving
• Assist in billing and registration, Medisave submission and embryo storage renewals
• Keep proper records (ART, CD book, Nursing Notes, Dispatch Book, IVF Logbook) as required by Management, MOH, RTAC and other relevant bodies

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma holder
• Fully registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
• Experience in O&G nursing and Operating Theatre will be an added advantage
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good working attitude, motivated and has good initiative
• Able to multi-task and work work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to deal tactfully and with sensitivity to the needs of customers rom different cultural and social backgrounds
• Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage as the job requires communication with Mandarin speaking patients

Dispensing of Medicine

1. Preparation, labelling and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with physicians’ medication orders.
2. Regularly review system of dispensing to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and controlled drugs and the maintenance of required needs, to reduce risks of errors.
3. Clarify and resolve any prescription ambiguities with the prescribers.
4. Ensure clients’ special orders are sourced for and delivered in a timely manner.
5. Assist in preventing dispensing errors through regular review of near misses and thorough analysis of previous errors.
6. Ensure medication safety at all times

Provide pharmaceutical care services to Intermediate, Long-term care facilities

1. Identify, assess and resolve any drug-related problems.
2. Advise nursing homes on the policy or workflow on the ordering, storage, use, labelling, distribution and documentation of use of drugs.
3. Conduct regular audits and in-service education.
4. Provide information and advice to healthcare professionals

• To plan, develop and implement the organizational strategy and framework for patients’ relations and positive experience in the patients' journey of care
• To oversee and be responsible for the communications and patients’ relations matters of through befriending and building of a strong rapport with the patients and their family.

Principal Responsibilities

1) Patients Relations Engagements

• To establish contact with patients and their family (next-of-kin or spokesperson or designated caregiver) at the point of referral (hospital tour) or upon admission to the wards.
• To be the point person of the hospital for the patients and their family.
• To implement workflow to ensure a positive experience at every touch point with patients and their family.
• To identify caregivers stress and discern sensitive issues and offer counsel/suggestions to solve the problem or to handle the situation.
• In any crisis situation to advise and support the Head of Department and the staff on the appropriate approach and action to be taken to diffuse anger and tension, at the same time relate to the patient and his/her family to offer empathy and counselling, where necessary, to calm the situation. Offer practical solutions and support to the patient and the family where caregiver stress has been identified.
• Identify and assist/support staff andHead of Departments who are struggling with patients’ relations and communication issues.
• To supervise, train and mentor the team of Ward Ambassadors who are part of the Patients Relations Team.
• To review and assist in handling feedback and complaints received through the Patients Feedback Form with appropriate (verbal/written) responses.

2) Patients Experience Programmes

• To work with Corporate Communications, Pastoral Care Services and Nursing in organizing patients’ engagement events.
• To develop programmes and events to promote patients’ engagement and improve patients experience.

3) Family/Caregivers Engagement

• To proactively identify caregivers stress and engage caregivers in conversations for the purpose of offering empathy and support, solutions and resources that will enable them to cope better.
• To collaborate with external agencies like Caregivers Alliance in supporting the caregivers and post discharge follow up.
• To participate in ward processes relevant to patients’ relations and experience.

Secondary Responsibilities

• To provide training in dementia care to staff as well as to caregivers.
• To carry out duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• min. Diploma/Degree in Public relations, Communications and Counselling related field of study
• Prior 3-4 years of relevant working experience in hospitality or healthcare public relations or caregiver support and counselling.
• Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience in a managerial role.
• Prior patient relations work experience from Healthcare/Social Service industry

• Supports high-quality electronic Trial Master Files (eTMFs). Performs set-up, maintenance (filing and approving documents) and archiving of eTMFs.
