Job Description & Requirements

• Manage and plan the care management of individual patient using the 4-prong Systematic Approach to Nursing Delivery comprising Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation.
• Assist the Nurse Manager to set short and long term goals for the unit.
• Participate in action plans for the unit to enhance employee engagement and maximise employee performance.
• Maintain current trends in nursing practice and managment through formal education and self-development.
• Participate in physician rounds and collaborate with physician and members of healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care and follow through of treatment plans.
• Demonstrate competency in nursing core and special skills.
• Supervise junior nursing personnel in providing quality nursing care. Monitor and assess junior nurses' competency progression and performance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
• Diploma in Nursing/Degree Qualification.
• Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing.
• At least 5 years nursing experience in an acute hospital.
• Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.

As a Staff Nurse (Maternal Healthcare), you will learn from our Clinical Nursing Leader (RN) to execute effective delivery of optimal care to our customers. You will need to assist our Clinical Nursing Leader(RN) to coordinate teaching and counseling plans to help meet customers’ & family's complex needs where appropriate.

• Uphold Company’s vision and mission.
• Effectively communicate our center’s nursing standards, policies and procedures and ensures these are well understood, accessible and complied by the junior health care assistants/basic care assistants.
• Assist Clinical Nursing Leader to incorporate nursing care policies and procedures in our center.
• Assist Clinical Nursing Leader to review and update relevant nursing care policies and procedures that can be implemented in our center.
• Conduct customers’ rounds to promote and maintain healthy customer satisfaction levels.
• Conduct one-one essential trainings to customers, to ensure that they are comfortable in the stay within the center.
• Act as mentor, coach & counselor to junior health care assistants/basic care assistants.
• Assist Clinical Nursing Leader in regular trainings for junior health care assistants/basic care assistants to ensure competency level of the staff.
• Ensure there is a robust Workplace Safety & Health culture within the team.
• Work effectively with other team members within the same center.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Able to do Shift Work

A Successful Candidate should have/be:

• At least a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent (recognised by Singapore Nursing Board)
• Good working attitude with ability to work in a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Courteous and exhibit genuine concern for patients

• Assist doctor during consultation adn in performing necessary procedures.
• Perform general nursing duties which includes performing of clinical procedure/patient’s vital signs monitoring.
• Provide education and counselling to patients prior to treatment.
• Assist in reception duties, registration, collecting payment.
• Ensure compliance to infection control and nursing policies.
