Jobscope:

• Provide professional maternal and infant care advice and emotional support to postpartum mothers, and effectively communicate with postpartum mothers.
• Conduct thorough assessments of newborns, including vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health.
• Adhere to standardized nursing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and practical assessment forms, perform relevant maternal and infant care procedures (feeding, bathing, changing diapers for newborns).
• Establish a strong rapport with clients, exceeding their expectations by delivering personalized, high-quality services.
• Create a warm and comforting environment for mothers and newborns.
• Provide support to the nursing supervisor, complete tasks in a Emely and efficient manner.
• Conduct appropriate educational sessions tailored to the postpartum period. Assess and record clients' learning progress, make Emely improvements, summarize, optimize, and update educational materials regularly.

Requirements

• Min NITEC in nursing
• Min 2 to 3 years experience
• Experience handling baby will be an advantage
• Able to start work immediately

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Staff Nurse (SN) in delivering nursing care to the residents and maintaining a safe and clean environment in the nursing home.

Care Delivery

• Provide quality nursing care with compliance to approved standards of nursing practices.
• Assist SN in new admission assessment and orientation.
• Carry out nursing rounds with the SN.
• Assist SN in ensuring residents take their medicines.
• Initiate activities as first responder at emergency situations; alerts and supports the SN.
• Organize and send residents for appropriate therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinate residents’ medical check-ups & arrange transport.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care given.

Supervisory Duties

Supervise junior care staff to:

• Ensure comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under his/her care.
• Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs.
• Assist in the transferring and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in serving diets and feeding residents.

Other Duty

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the SN or Nurse Manager.
